View Full Version : If you start a thread or make a post, how often do you check on it?

To see how people respond to what you wrote? Do any of you wonder how your thread is doing or what other posters are saying about what you had to say while you are on the road or any other place you are "out of touch" with the forums? Are you anxious about getting back behind your PC just to check the forums again? I find that I get like this and cannot wait to see what new things are posted in here. Is it just me?

I generally like to start a thread, say something stupid, and let people argue over it while I go and do something else.

Same here. I usually consider my thread "dead" once it drops off the first page. Until then I check it pretty frequently.

I'm the same as Flox. If it leaves the first page, it's history, unless of course someone is waiting for a reply. If I'm the last to post and no one replies, it's in the shredder, so to say. I add certain threads to my favorites when I know times are busy.

Personally, I feel people should be responsible and follow up on threads they start, but that's just my opinion.

I agree. If it slips to page two I feel weird about bumping it back to page 1. Other than that I check really often. Can't count the number of times I have checked my download page at Mission4Today to see how many people have downloaded it. Yes, I know that's sad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

I don't start many threads but I started the one on the P-38 and only dare go back in behind a chair and whip! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

Depends on the comment. If it's argumentative, I'll check again later.

The worst thing about this forum is people who post a question or ask for information/pictures and then never check to see the reply (or thank you for your trouble) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif.
