For the benefit of all those out there considering buying a new machine right now i thought i'd post this short questionnaire, i am looking for a everyones dream machine for running IL2 Forgotten Battles in perfect settings. Just answer the questions clearly and concisely, and thanks very much in advance.

QUESTIONS:

1) Type and speed of processor?

2) Type and model of motherboard?

3) Type and model of Video Card

4) Type and model of soundcard?

5) How much RAM at what speed?

6) Size and type of hard drive

7) Operating system?

8) Which Flight Stick?

Thats all, monitor and mouse etc, etc dont really matter as all we're looking for is Framerate Eating Dream Machines.

Actually what ever seems to be a "dream machine" in only couple of months it becomes an average rig. Things change so quick by the time 30th person posts something in hardware will change /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

What I need is not just a good gaming machine but also a cockpit... have to build it one day /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

If you go to mudmovers (site down at the mo) then there is fps comparision with everyones pc specs and what they are running FB at. Very cool indeed needs more high end users to post their perfect fps on black death.

Well, I don't know if this is exactly a dream machine, but it runs FB in perfect mode fine at 1024x768 with 4x AA and 16x AF:

1) AMD Athlon XP 2400+
2) Epox 8RDA+ (nForce2)
3) Hercules Radeon 9700 Pro
4) Sound Blaster Audigy 2
5) 1024MB@333
6) 80GB Maxtor DiamondMax 9+
7) Windows XP Pro SP1
8) Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold USB
