You are welcome.

I have not added my bit to the other topic but rest assured your effort and that of all involved with WTCF is much appreciated.

I got half my post count by helping folks out with the sim. I got a quarter of my count by arguing with people over stupid stuff, and I got another quarter from discussing the sim's historical background

How'd you get yours?

Thank YOU, Chuck! Keep up with the arguing over the stupid, stuff, ok, Mate? You have set me straight a few times, and I hope that you will continue to add your input. We all are indebted to you for WTCF, as well as your other contributions here.

Many's the time I've chuckled (no pun intended)at some of the diatribe you've thoughtfully posted.

I think you should change it to "When Tigers Flew" or WTF!

Example1: "Just downloaded WTCF!" (not funny)

Example2: "Just downloaded WTF!" (now thats funny)

Funny how there's always one smart Rs reply to a genuine post. Good work Chuck_Older. You've made a huge effort. I hope you enjoy your PF break.

I am about 6 missions in and having a blast. It is nice to see some different maps and planes being used. It has inspired me to look for more obscure campaigns. Heck, I may even a try a DGen one - play for Finland or something. I hadn't realised it before but I have gotten a bit tired of 109s and P-47s. This Hawk is a sweet wee thing.

I am enjoying your campaign immensely.....

I re-started it after 4 missions because I wanted to change to 'unrealistic' fire....
I always fly cockpit on and rarely use icons, and then only the distance is shown...
but after reading about how vulnerable the japanese planes were compared to the US ones because of their lack of armour and self-sealing tanks, I decided the russian planes used in lieu were too hard to damage using realistic ammo...
although the briefings often give an expected height for the Japanese bombers, they usually are much lower, and difficult to spot against the landscape..

I always try to damage the flight leaders, then the whole flight release their bombs and cannot complete their mission...
great fun....

Oh, those Russian planes burn like torches. Especially my "Ki-48" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

You just need to learn where to hit 'em ( http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif inboard of the engines)

Ohh DRATS! My secret got out of the bag! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Not only is it the best place to shoot for because fo the fuel tanks, but the wing, fuselage join is weak IF and I mean IF you do what I do...

Get above your enemy, slightly rearward flying parellel. Then dive toward them and fly under the flight section heading for the section leader. Just as the target AC passes your canopy visual range WITHOUT looking up, pull gently up on stick and zoom up into his belly and let em have it inboard of the engines. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif Much easier from under than over on top.

Nice Flying Tiger missions so to speak http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Just the one with 40 enemy bombers really taxes my system when the EA bombers machine gunners open up! slows to a crawl and video get hearky-jearky like nuts! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif but good game play regardless.

What are your graphics settings?

Right in the campaign selection screen, in which you choose to play my campaign, I clearly warn that many static objects and aircraft may be displayed, and graphics settings may need to be turned down. I can't make anyone follow my advice, but beleive me, I tested this thing a lot, and that's why I warn against cranking up the graphics right at the git-go http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif If you think that those 40 bombers was a lot, strap yourself in for later missions in which you get 40+ bombers and half a dozen escorts intercepted by 20 AVG planes

The campaign is as accurate as I can make FB/PF get it within reason. If you check out the readme, you'll see why I had to make some concessions
