Trusting you mean 1.90m? If you're 1.90cm, and the second tallest in your family, well... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

I'm 5'2", eyes of, er, brown, and it goes downhill from there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I used to hang from doorways when I was younger, but all I got was long arms!!

It depressed me a lot until I was working in a gang with a another bricklayer sized 6'2" and made a comment about his good fortune. "No, he said, it's a real pain. When we work in the foundation then I have to fold myself up like a stork to fit in the trench, and I never come out not covered in mud, while you little guys hop in and come up clean." He was right too, and I just forgot about the height thing.

You know the SAS and SBS only really recruit shorter guys. They're more nimble and smaller targets. So as you said It cant be all bad!

6'4" (1.93) is more than enough for me. Finding a car thats comfortable is enough of a pain, any taller and it would be really annoying.

Metric IS the weird dimension. Two French guys screw up the length of the meter during their Revolution, and you guys spend all sorts of time refining and re-defining the units that make up a meter to accommodate their fudge factor...and for what? To end up with a system as arbitrary as the English system http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Whoops, Pierre! We have miscalculated again! Quick, fix it before anyone notices! What, we are wrong again!? Quick, get the eraser! (http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/meter.html) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Odd, I'd like to try being much shorter....Having shrunk from roughly 5'7" down to 5'5"+, I still never the less feel absolutly confident and unintimidated by taller folks.......I think it would be wild to try being perhaps 4'10" or some such as I get this feeling I'd not feel the confidence, and that would add some excitement back into the mix due to the possible lack of feeling secure.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Odd perhaps, yet challenges are the best part of life not already having overcome them. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

5`9" Perfect height for a male. Not too tall, not too short. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

p.s. Notice the subtle manner in which BaldieJr asks the question without telling us his height? All the signs of a scorpio to me!

Back when I was still playing competitive basketball, I used to wish I was a few inches taller than my current 6' 2" (1.8796m for the metrically-impaired) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

A nice 6' 5" - 6' 6" would have made rebounding and defense easier against the taller forwards and centers that I usually had to body up during a game. I couldn't handle the rock well enough to be a tall guard, but I played the post well, had a wicked cross-over and my turn-around jumper was hard to stop, as I leaned away from the basket like MJ used to, while shooting it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Then, I tore my ACL in the Championship game of our 4th straight title game in the YMCA Men's League here in Red Bank, NJ. That ended my competitive basketball playing. Now, I just run a few games a week up at the courts with the other old guys.

I'm 179,5 cm, exactly the mean hight for recruits the year I was in the army (back in 1987), which mean I'm a bit lower that the mean here where I live.

Back in the army, I found that the medium to small size guys where the better soldiers. Big guys needed more food, more sleep, tired more easily and couldn't carry the MG for too long without getting back pains. We had a few top athletes in our group too, and they where utterly useless, skinny guys with no physical reserves to go on. Those "very unremarkable" looking guys like myself did best. I've never felt bad for not being particularly tall.

The tall have reduced lifespans. Tall + longevity do not mix.

I worry about the people who add the extra half-inch to their claimed heights. It's usually the shorter ones and it's a dead give-away of the inferiority they feel. If you don't know it, it's a real joke amongst those skyscrapers we share the planet with http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

6'4"(197 cm),275 lb(125 kg).-no taller please. It's hard to get comfortable on most furniture or in most vehicles(other than a full size American truck type vehicle-those evil SUV's) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif,and the bad part is everytime someone you even remotely know moves, they want you to come move their appliances, couch, waterbeds(the few that are left),anything they can't budge.

Ok......197cm and 100kg here. I can attribute that to being of half Dutch and half Austrian decent. Then of course there was that pure Tasmanian air during those formative years of my life! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
