And I gotta say, it was an awsome read! i know that the writing wasn't the best....but to look at the Assassin's creed storyline in another way was amazing! I was wondering what other people who have read it thought about it

I'm on chapter 14 and I have to say I'm really enjoying the book a lot. I like how it gives more insight on exactly what Altair was thinking when he was going through the events of his life and how he felt about everything. It made me want to replay the first game.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***

As you said, the writing wasn't the most fantastic thing compared to the previous two novels and it also surprised me to find how brief everything had been described.

Still an ok read however. Felt so bad for all of them really. Mostly from when Altair's father had to take the place of Ahmad, Altair see's his father about to be killed and shouts out to him. Then when Ahmad kills himself infront of Altair, Al Mualim lies to his Ahmad's son Abbas telling him that he left & wouldn't be returning for a while.

(I won't go through any more details of the book incase some wish to find out what happens themselves.)

Altair has to put up with so much grief throughout the story you would've thought he'd cave in at some point and just give up. But even when he's older, he's still standing and finally reclaims the title of Grand Master.

Personally, I found that they were alot more detailed in terms of telling the story than The Secret Crusade. Definitely worth reading however http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I every book is amazing the secret crusade being my favourite. I just wish they included some of the chapters in the game, although they might do in revelations maybe?

Question I have from reading the book which was probably deliberately left untold was - what happened to Altair and Masayaf when the Mongol siege came? How did Altair die?

yeah, im guessing they left that part out on purpose. Im sure that we will get a bit more info on that perticular subject once revelations comes out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
