21:20 Local Hero Saviour of the Skies One of the enduring legends to emerge from the Second World War was the Spitfire plane, credited in folklore as the plane which helped save Britain during the Battle of Britain. This is a profile of the man who designed it, RJ Mitchell. The 'father' of the Spitfire never lived to see it in action during his country's most dire hour of need

Excellent..... Alex Henshaw relating to 37,000 Spitfire Test flights WOW!!!! and being told he had to do an Air Display over the centre of Birmingham and getting madder and madder at the thought, culminating in an Ultra Low Level beat up down the main Street of Birmingham INVERTED... Priceless, He says he was nearly arrested... hehehehehe http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Did you read about Henshaw going up with John Romain recently, at 92?
