With the DM porked on so many planes. I am considering turning off so called, realistic gunnery while hosting. This should make a wider range of plane choices viable. In tests, a solid tracking shot, with even .50 cal, will bring down a 110. What do you guys think?

Turning off realistic gunnery will make all weapons more damaging but will also remove bullet drop. Extra powerful bullets will be able to hit at 1km+ and make for some amusing shots. Not sure if there is a way to only have the added power to the guns, but it's not likely to become an option.

One possible solution would be limiting the planesets to have only non-cannon fighters although that might defeat the purpose of making more planes viable.

I like it so far. You can fly anything and have a fighting chance. Kill stealing is not a problem. Nothing left to steal. It is odd to light someone up with 20MM cannon, and actually have it do them some harm. But, I could get use to it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Suitable for a pure fun DF IMHO. That can lift off those big gun planes a bit. Too bad they also add hitboxes. More damage only would be fine.
