Hey all,

The fun thing about sandbox games like GTA and Crackdown is that you can make up your own stories to entertain you... Eventhough it sounds a bit stupid, sometimes I made up my own stories in GTA just to cause rampage. I could go on with this even when I finished the mainquest. A game like GTA is perfect for this seeing all the posibilities one get inside the cities. In other words, a game like GTA can be played over and over again even withouth touching the main- or sidequests.

I wondered though, does the same count for AC? One cannot cause rampage like one could in GTA, apart from killing one or two scumbags from the streets, before being cornerd by the guards.

I reckon we can have lots of fun with the parcour-element, even after finishing all the quests. It would be great fun to discover nice jumps and stuff like that, but do you think this will keep us busy for months, just like GTA could?

In short: Do you think AC has the same (more or less) replay value than for example GTA?

Just curious, no need to flame.

I believe that AC will have way more re- playability than GTA because of the great game play involved in Assassin's Creed...

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I remember the days (yesterday and the day before http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif) when I used to pick a random car in GTA and follow it around...then destroy it!! Or when I pick a random civilian and follow him around pretending to be an Assassin named Altair!! Those were (and still are I guess) the days...

Ahhh good topic. Brings back memories...Yeah when i was wondering round on GTA for the ps2 i used to picture the character as being some shady assassin and used to follow people and car's around (haha how creepy do i sound!). Tht was back in the day. Not done tht for a while. The great thing about AC is that it pretty much IS what i always used to imagine GTA was whilst playin. And free roam assassin game. cant wait

Haha, it's nice to hear I'm not the only one who made up his own little stories to amuse himself. My favorite was to play a cabdriver, lure ladies in my cab, take them to some remote place (preferable the docks), to stab them to death... my god, this sounds really sick, but hey, it was just a game!

Anyhoo, eventhough I will probably do the same in AC, don't you guys think you haven't got as much possibilities like you had in GTA? Afterall, in AC you only have you're medieval weapons, the rooftops you can climb and a horse...that's it... In GTA one had cars, planes, boats, etc. and tons of weapons...

What do you think?

It could be fun to stalk someone useing the rooftops... the moment he/she enters a remote alley, you jump down to make the kill...

The great thing is mate, is that is what you have to do anyway! This game is perfect!

Im likin the gta idea Stix, i think you'll have to have a vivid imagination to picture the horses as tanks etc though.

lol just wait for the PC version...play it on crappy PC...put the graphics on extremely low low low...and that way the horses would automatically look like big blocks...the perfect way to do it I say!!

But still: one of my favorite scenarios to play in GTA was 'Falling Down' (the movie). I drove my car nice and humble down the road till some mofo would accidently bump into me, so I could go on a rampage!

... can't see this happen in AC... unless ofcourse some filthy streetpunk bumps into me. If that happens, my blade will perform some of the old in-out-in-out* on his face!

Reference to the wonderfull movie A Clockwork Orange...watch it!

I think it will have plenty of replay value, the game is abolutely huge, and before we replay it, we have to finish it first :P
And all you talking about GTA gave me an idea. AC2 set in present time in Newyork.

Haha, that made me laugh. I can see it now: New York finest are looking for you in downtown: 'Where did he go... one minute you see him, then he's gone... if only this strange, medieval looking bail of hay next to all this cabs was gone, than maybe we would have a better overview...' lol

I used to do that, but I didn't pretend to be Altair... I used to follow cars around, then (sometimes they did this) when they got out, I'd follow 'em about 'demanding' rent to be paid... then I'd kill them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif yeah... I was bored

I'm guessin that with 420 flags to collect (and the other collectibles...) you're gonna have a LOT to keep playing for http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif as long as you don't use a stupid map to find the flags >___>

Ahh... Good ol' GTA...

I remember, I would put the "Never Wanted" cheat on, steal a cop's bike (they were the best in my opinion http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif) then deactivate the cheat... Get a machine gun, and kill some random cops! Then make them chase me up to a 4 star wanted level, so they can start setting up roadblocks. Then, I would get out my machine gun and shoot the roadblocks and the cops! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif
