View Full Version : Anyway to fix RNZAF from speaking Russian in Quick Mission?

Hi All,

I was setting up a Beaufighter Quick mission and selected RNZAF. When I started to fly, they were speaking Russian. I looked, and the AU folder was there. Don't know if that's the correct one though. Is there anyway to tell the game what country speaks what language, or would this be a bug?

Best Regards

My Aussie wingie seems to have spent some time studying Russian as well. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I don't think it is a bug..........

i believe all allied forces default to russian if they haven't got their own language pack yet.... as do axis to german...

if you want english.... look in the samples/speech folder.... if there is a folder for aussies or kiwis have a play and if they're just copies of the russian files, then copy the gb/RAF ones into the folder instead

Can't you just use the Aussie speech pack? After all, Aussies and Kiwis sound just the same.

And so you should hide and hang your head in shame. As a native born New Zealander you just insulted the hell out of me, but your statement is actually quite a compliment to the Aussies. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yep - they are actually very different once you know what to listen for.

Mind you, I was once in Boulder Colorado with a colleague who is a Geordie (I sound very BBC news-reader English) and a woman asked us if we were from Australia.

I've always been proud of the fact that NZ is where the half-Wellington boot was invented...for the sheep's back feet.
