Compare and contrast that auction with these copies of volume 1 on Amazon's marketplace!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/detail/offer-lis.../026-3691135-0865241 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/detail/offer-listing/-/0935553487/used/ref=sdp_usedb/026-3691135-0865241)

I love the "Low Price" sticker the first entry gets!

Seriously though, Ian Allen has volume 2 for the very reasonable price of 12.99 now too.

You wouldn't want to go too high on that - I picked it up from Midland Counties Publishing for 12.99 a few weeks back. I think they still have some.

Cheers!

Ebay ain't always a bargain.

Btw - thanks rjrl101.

Is Volume 3 out yet?And wasnt there talk of a Vol 1 rerelease. Now that would upset the Vol 1 (goldust!) owners!

Sometime this spring evidently.

I see elsewhere Vol. 4 is already lined up.

And I had been hoping to retire early on the proceeds of my Volume 1....

I Ordered it last sat & thought it would be here by now.

Madsarmy:

Nope. But I'm in The Netherlands, and the site warns of up to 2 weeks delivery time. Then again, I got my delivery from Aardvark books in under a week. That package will stop me lingering by the postbox (book on JG54)

Hi Hartford

I have phoned them this morning & they are a week behind on their orders. A flu bug has gone through the company & they have been left short staffed. It turns out that they are out of stock anyway. So were going to have to wait a little longer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Hey Madsarmy

Missed your post. Finally got a small piece of paper today saying both books I ordered are out of stock but they have "recorded my order". Website still shows available. Given (as far as I know) BCRS V2 is out of print they are being optimistic.

Well I guess I'll give up on Black Cross Red Star and Ian Allen Publishing. The other book ("Alert in the West") I'll get from Amazon.

The air war over the Eastern Front. That's a big deal.

In fact, anything regarding the eastern front at all is a big deal, given how bitter the fighting was between the Germans and Russians.

I consider information on the Eastern front a big deal because in my part of the world, accurate and informed commentary on the subject has been sp**** at best for the last 40 years.

This sim has opened my eyes and been a catalyst for further research on many aspects of something I thought I knew quite a bit about.

I've had Vol.1 for a couple years and have read it throughout using it frequently in the developement of maps/missions.

It's a bit dry for casual reading, but the enthusiasts will appreciate the attention to detail.
