Hi folks
I had a browse around but didnt find anything concrete about this.
I want to disable the speedbar on our dedicated server.
I see there is a syntax command for it,
Notes on the €œspeedbar€ Command

The server hosting an on-line game now has an ability to disable using the so-called speed bar feature €" the digital information display located in the lower left corner of the screen. The command syntax is:
speedbar [SHOW|HIDE]

If you want players connected to your server not to use these digital instruments, issue speedbar HIDE.
You can type in speedbar SHOW to restore back the default settings and allow players to use the speed bar.

Question is can a line be added to the exisiting server.cmd file like this
speedbar HIDE

We dont have direct access to our server so making changes on the fly is not an option, the server reboots everyday remotely and we have to make changes to the ini or cmd files to force difficulty changes.

Current server.cmd looks like this
difficulty SeparateEStart 1
difficulty ComplexEManagement 1
difficulty NoMapIcons 1
difficulty NoMinimapPath 1
difficulty NoInstantSuccess 1
difficulty TakeoffLanding 1
difficulty WindTurulence 1

The dotrange settings are there for when we have icons on.

I also came across some text in the confs.ini file

A post refered to full real settings (which is what we want) being these digits,, 16777215 , can anyone confirm this.
Many thx

I don't know about the server.cmd file, but if you're using FBDaemon you can put server commands in the mission briefings files. See the "Mission Parameters" section of the FBDaemon documentation (http://www.greatergreen.com/il2/fbd2/fbd2.htm)

Thx guys
I got it sorted by runnning a few tests here by networking my desktop and running the DS on my notebook.

I used the confs.ini file way,
in the difficulty line just changed the digits to 16777215
Thats full real with no anything hehhee.

edit, Yeah Tuly we use FBD but its a mission to go and change all the maps we have on rotation, we have quite a lot, although that way would work no doubt. Confs.ini is the easiest. thx
