Some of the comments on the youtube forum thingy mention that the Squirrel has rabies and is not drunk. I hope that is not true.

This reminds me of something that I read recently, some guy saw robins eating fruit that was rotting and fermenting. He said that watching them fly was somewhat interesting http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif.

Ummm do squirrels get rabies? I've seen muskrats and raccoons with rabies, reminded me of them, especially the running in circles.

Yes, they can and do. As can any mammals who come into contact with the disease.

There is no way to be certain from just this video but the circling along with the weaving head bobbing are both classic symptoms of the middle stages of rabies.

It said somewhere in comments that the next day the squirrel was fine. Guess he ran up and said "Hey, although I look exactly like every squirrel around here I am in fact the drunken squirrel from yesterday and I am quite alright TY."

What would happen if you gave a dolphin rabies? Would they beach themselves from fear of water?

There was a recent scare in downtown Austin,TX recently when bunches of birds (http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/03/06/6birds.html) started dying downtown;until they figured out they'd been gorging on fermented Ilex Vomitoria,Yaupon Holly berries.

Well as a homeowner who's been battling Rocky and the cousins for about 6 years I can tell you that you definately KNOW the squirrels in your backyard.

I'm talking about the flea bearin varmints that have eaten their way into all my plastic trash cans. The same ones that have eaten through the screen door and gotten onto my porch to get at more garbage. The same bastards that have laughed and giggled at ever Havahart trap I've put out. Recognize em??? Chite man I know em in my sleep.
