Today I heard something I have never heard before....... "This is 3... my guns are empty......" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I told the AI to attack ground targets after we had taken out most of the air defense.... I have never heard thatbefore.. and dint even know it was there..

I've heard that too so all we need now is:

"Three, what tank? I see no tank, leader."
"One, check your....oh darn it"
"Three, someone help me get dowwwwwwn!"
"MWUAHAHAHAHAHA......outta ammo."
"Blow it out of your butt, one."

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Some Good Ground Pounding Missions... along with Convoy Duty Missions and you use up alot of Ammo fast... P-38's P-47's F4U's B-25's and one of my Newer favorite's the A-20 are just what you need for these Ground/Sea Missions.
They all carry the needed Punch!

You all know what an easy going guy I am.. And I would never be one to point out a mistake.. or something like that.. But shouldnt the title of this thread be

"Wow.. just when I thought I had HEARD it all..."

instead of SEEN it all?

Or am I just being an anal ****? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I hear it a lot when flying RAAF - must be something to do with vegemite making them more aggressive. I've also got an Aussie wingman who calls out "I've bagged a Hun!" when shooting down Japanese aircraft.

The Italian speech pack certainly adds to the immersion(well done to all involved), but for all I know, they could be reading from a restaurant menu. I don't use subtitles as much as I should, I guess. And don't those Germans sound exciteable when the fur and feathers start flying?

I have also hear it many times. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But afaik I don't get that response in aerial fights. I get this message from AI only if they are in ground attack mission.
Also when AI is equipped with rockets they are also saying "this is 3. Firing rockets" or "rockets gone".
They can be quite deadly vs bombers with those AA rockets (RS82).http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I've heard it two or three times. We need one that says "This is three, one pull up!"

I wouldn't know.
You just can't get good vegimite here in the states.

Used to hear it quite a bit when playing the original Il-2 Sturmovik, but you're right Bear, I've never heard it since switching to Il-2 FB.

Speechpacks?

cheers

Yep. I`ve heard it a few times. Very nice. The one that impressed me most was, "Negative, I`m going in." When the Tower tells a crippled plane to go round. It never used to do that before 4.01 (or the most recent patches).

Wish one radio command was telling our AI wingies to break when somebody's on their six, or AI calling break when somebody's on yours, instead of the current "bandit at your seven o'clock, nine o'clock, etc." which often only means they're a kilometer away and no threat.

cheers,

Don't tell me - the AI said it after they'd tried to steal yet another kill? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It is beneficial to converse with sentient beings for a change. They tend to say new things on a regular basis.

Aw, believe me. When you are making a speechpack, that quote is not so unfamiliar. Along with all the other 980+ recordings. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Also in bombers, I love when gunner shouts "break right" or "dodge one on our tail" or something like that.
In Sturmo if I make some manoeuver he shouts "...Stop what you're doing" .. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

a lot of beings look sentient.. but aren't..

the one "I'm going in..." reminds me of a bit in 'Pappy' Boyington's book where he describes hearing a fellow pilot call out for help with a few zekes after him ... then shortly came that immortal line 'Oh never mind...I'm going in...'

hope we can all be so controlled when our time comes...
