Well, in less than three hours it will be 2009 down in Florida. lol

Everyone be safe and have fun tonight. Try not to drink too much, either. Someone has to be the designated driver. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

As for my new year revolution, I hope to get a job soon. Please Lord. I need one. -_-'

2009! ...I don't have a resolution...

Or at least my goal hasn't changed. "make people pay for my drawings"

New year?

It's that time already?
Meh...
I don't see why we can't just say "HAPPY NEW YEAR FOREVER" and just let the matter drop. >_>

Human beings just want a reason to celebrate nothing.

As for my resolutions, it's the same as always:
- Take over the world.
- Find the best cooking chocolate.

My third resolution was fulfilled last year.
Thank you Lauren for being my very own dimwitted Pinky! 8D

every day is a new year if you started to count 365 days ago... not funny, right?

at least not for me, I was the designated driver.

Good luck to all and happy new year!!!

Happy new year, peoples! http://media.ubi.com/us/forum_images/gf-glomp.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif

As for me, I have quite a few resolutions and now I'm wondering whether I'm unusual or you guys are. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Anyway, here's my resolutions:
- Know where I want to go to university, by the end of the year
- Go on a backpacking trip
- Get a driver's license
- Get a job for the holidays
- Stop spending so much money on crap (handle my money)
- Stumble less
- Manage the exam period better
- Stay in school, no matter how much I want to quit, no matter how much I'd rather get a job, no matter how much I just don't feel like it anymore: stay in school
-Learn the code you have to add to a youtube url to get the video in high quality by heart and also, stop always googling the spelling of definitely. Instead, learn it.
- Survive any economical crisis-mayhem, civil wars, world takeovers, alien invasions and pandemics to come. If they do come; lead a revolution.

Also, next year I want to spend new year's eve somewhere in the UK: people can't drink enough for my taste here. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Well, I'm not speaking on behalf of the others, since they might have their own reasons, but I find it silly to set tasks and goals to achieve by the end of a year.

I just set some for my entire life instead.
That way I don't have to worry about what they are every 365 or so days. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Gosh, I'll even come up with excuses for excuses... honestly.

@Cas: That's 9 hours more than here. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

@Scythe: I have life goals and I have resolutions. They're not the same. Life goals are a lot bigger and stronger.

@Pheon: Yeah, but I'm pretty positive about sticking to them. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

people only managed to drink for 2 hours? they not heard of pacing them self? or eating before going out?

FYTJ

Well, they go to the parties they are going to at around 21:00 and are drunk at around 23:00. >_<
It's one of the reasons why my friend and me decided to celebrate together instead of going out.

We each had a full bottle of Baileys in our blood and we were still sober enough to pretend we weren't drunk at all when my parents came. In fact, when my mother asked me what happened to the Baileys I said we used it for a cake(which was not a lie but a white lie since we did put a tablespoon in a cake). When she asked me if we had used the whole bottle I didn't want to lie to her and just asked "Did we look drunk?". And she had to admit we couldn't have drunk a bottle and be that sober. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I mean, we were drunk but not drunk enough to lose control. We were able to walk and act like we were completely sober. To tell the truth, I've never been drunk to the point of not remembering stuff or having a hangover. But I know guys who only drink half as much as I do and ended up in hospital.

So when we got to the point where we were drinking straight from the bottle because we didn't want to wake up my parents by getting glasses and ice, we looked at each other and decided to spend next new year's eve in the UK.

And, and we suck? We went to bed at 9 am! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And we don't suck. Our generation does but we don't. And the fact that you Brits can drink so much is the very reason for us wanting to come up for next new year's eve. To finally drink with people who can drink as much as we can.

you dont want to go to the south if you want a drinking holiday, you realy need scotland or ireland if you want people who can drink loads.

Considering how much my friend loves the Irish accent ever since she watched In Bruges, I suppose she was thinking of Ireland anyway. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

if you like "the irish accent" as you put it you will need to find out what part of ireland its in cause the irish hate the one the americans nearly always use. but then I got irish people people to do impersinations of the pikeys from snatch http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif funny in pubs (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DE1d0G0t_G8) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
