Hello Oleg

I know we can just turn it off and on, but I would like to be able relocate it on the screen aswell.
I use Teamseak Overlay (http://www.teamspeakoverlay.com/)And have it place in bottom right corner.

The only reason I use it, is for flap position. Same with Speedbar, I use it to navigate and Bomb sight stuff. Being able to place all text on the bottom, would free up my view in the windscreen, to enable spotting the Bad guys maybey just a bit sooner. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Thanks TOAD

I wish it were a text we could modify, change text position, text size, etc... But, in an Online sim, I guess that would only cause the return of the online Text Position Cheat, never mind the old Text Size Exploit. That we can't allow. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I would do this...

R1 for rad positon 1
R2 for rad positon 2
Rn for rad position n
PK for pilot killed
FL for fuel leak
GM1 for GM-1 ENABLED.
PW for pilot wounded
PHW for pilot heavily wounded
:
:
etc...

I mean, if we see GM1, we know its Enabled. I guess the long messages are made for FB Newbies. Then let use abbreviation letters when we grow into bitter crusty Old Timers.

I've wondered about these pop-up texts. Is there really a way to turn it off? How? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Since most controls are visible in the cockpit, it would be nice to have to look at your flaps lever to see flaps position. Same with radiator, gear, arrestor hook, even throttle (watch the tacometer! ). Also, how realistic is it telling you that your elevator or rudder is damaged or the fuel tank is ruptured? I think pilots had to find that out the hard way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif Maybe this should be incorporated into the realism settings. i.e. text messages to tell you things you would normally have to figure out yourself.

Well for one not all aircraft have all the control levers, indicators,gauges animated. Thus the want or need of the text, is a personal preference. I have played with it on and off, until the Host can control every aspect of everyone settings. There is no need not to use them, if you care to remain competative. Sure with unlimited time to play and practice it could be overcome probably. But Most if nat all don't and would just end up cannon fodder, as if I don't already way to much as it is. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Second if you want it off you go to your conf.ini file and adjust the line NoHudLog=0 instead of NoHudLog=1

Also if you want the subtitles of your AI to go away you can adjust this line to NoSubTitles=1

[game]
Arcade=0
HighGore=1
mapPadX=0.59765625
mapPadY=0.359375
viewSet=34
Intro=0
NoSubTitles=1
NoChatter=0
NoHudLog=0
NoLensFlare=1
iconTypes=3
eventlog=
eventlogkeep=0
3dgunners=1
ClearCache=0

I think this would be a great idea and could it really be all that hard to implement?

What is the hud text exploit, BTW Lex?
Also the text that shows flaps and landing gear doesn't need to be so large so maybe we can ask for option to make it smaller?

I would actually prefer it to be bottom right hand corner, things like improved chat system, transparent map, improved score board no points calculation needed would be nice. Perhaps for BOB

All good stuff LS, the text I would think would be an easy option to resize and relocated to several different locations.

The transparent Map would really be cool.

Improve the display of information management to balance the lack of "real" 3-D occular input.

All excellent ideas above.
