Did someone already read those two comic books? I did yesterday and i have to say i don't like them.
I can not believe that those books are official from UBI. I mean, they are completely different to the games and i really hate what they have done with the caracters.
Especially "Subjekt 16" who is called Michael in the books.

In the first book "Desmond" it is shown that Subjekt 16 is still alive. He escapes from a Psychiatric Hospital after killing two men.
Then the book shows Desmond as he is on the Animus living the previous experiences of Aquilus, an ancestor from old rome.
This experiences goes wrong so they have to find another ancestor of Desmond: Altair! After this the books shows the escape from Desmond and Lucy!
(BTW... Lucy was the one who captured Desmond from his bar!!!)
They arrive at a warehouse to meet a guy named Tom and some strange Doctor. No mention of Shaun and Rebecca!!!
Then Michael (Subjekt 16) arrives at the warehouse arguing which one should be on the Animus. Desmond or himself! He thinks he is far more superior and Desmond is a looser!
Because Lucy and Tom choose Desmond, Michael gets angry and attacks Desmond which his hidden blade!!! Lucy knocks him out!
Desmond goes onto the Animus, which is exactly the same one Abstergo have, and starts living the experiences of Ezio... Book out!

The second book "Aquilus" starts with a sequence of young Desmond and his father. They are on a hunt with an eagle.
The father says very important: "The eagles do not fear the vultures... but they should learn to be cautious!"
After that memories of desmond it is shown that Lucy has breakfast with Desmond introducing Rebecca to him and give him the hidden blade!
It is mentioned that Michael escaped after he gets his consciousness back! Then Rebecca says they have to leave!
Then they travel around in a truck with the Animus of Rebecca in it. With them is Shaun and the Doctor from the first book: Dr. Geier!
Inside the Animus Desmond lives the experiences of Aquilus which went wrong in the first book. Now he is able to do it right!
The truck is attacked a few times by Abstergo guys! Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca have guns(!!!) and they try to kill the Abstergo guys!!!
In the end Desmond kills them with his new blade!!! Later he kills Dr. Geier, because he found out that he is a traitor and he helped Abstergo...
Desmond calls the last number on the cellphone of one of the Abstergo guys and the cellphone of Dr. Geier beeps! AND most important: Geier is a german word and it means vulture!!!
After that they arrived at Monteriggioni!!! Book out!

Sorry for the long blabla and my bad english. I only wanted to show you how bad those comics are!
The caracters are completely different from the games!!! Subjekt 16 seems to be an arrogant and narcissistic ***...!
Shaun and Rebecca, who aren't there in the first book, have guns and they shoot!!! Shaun of the game would never do that. He seems to be a coward in the games!
After living the experiences of Altair and start living the experiences of Ezio in the first book, Desmond goes back to the unimportant Aquilus? Why? I don't know!
I thought getting the apple of eden is first pirority!!! Okay Aquilus had his own POE. But... i don't get it!
Dr. Geier, the evil german doubleagent from Abstergo! Come one!!! And his stupid name Geier, which means vulture! And the vultures are the enemys of the eagles! COME ONE!!!
Those books are really bad! Why are they so different from the games??? Please UBI, stop them!!!

But perhaps someone has read it too. I am very interested to hear an other opinion!!!

Thanks for the welcome... and of course: !!!

Here are a few examples how bad those comics are!

This picture shows how Altair attacks with his blade! Simply stupid, isn't it?
http://b.imagehost.org/0738/28.jpg

And here are a few pictures of Lucy. Why does she have to bend her finger ALL THE TIME???
The whole finger-thing isn't even explained.

Uhm Lucy, Mr. Vidic is the enemy. (BTW, the way how she bends the finger isn't even possible)
http://b.imagehost.org/0666/09.jpg

Desmond is on the Animus and can not see the you, Lucy!
http://d.imagehost.org/0329/11_11.jpg

Lucy on the computer. Desmond is still on the Animus.
http://b.imagehost.org/0238/31.jpg

Ok, this might work! But at this time, Desmond doesn't know about Altair!
http://b.imagehost.org/0453/17_1.jpg

I really begin to wonder if the writer of these books has played even 5 minutes one of the games!

I'm pretty certain Lucy is just missing her finger in the comic book...

Yes, in many pictures it really looks like she is missing this finger.
But in many other pictures she has the finger. And in the 2nd book she is always complete!

I was unaware that the second edition of that came out. I thought Ubisoft just dropped it and forgot it existed. I don't get it then which story are we supposed to believe? I still like the American comic books better that are written by Karl and Stewart. Ubisoft has to ok the stories on those things though so are we supposed to accept the whole Michael thing?

Uhhh have you played AC1? It shows she is missing a finger

EDIT: except that last picture with her on the keyboard. she probably grew it back for that frame

In AC1 she's just bending it. they stopped all that finger chopping a long time ago.
And these sound terrible.

So....is this a second comic series like The Fall? I don't really read comics, so i'm not really up to speed on this side of the franchise http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Hihi, i don't want to bore you again with the badness of these comics, but i can't.
In issue 2 Desmond is in the animus, which is on the back of the truck, which is on the road to Monteriggioni.
He lives the experiences of his ancestor Aquilus, who was nearly killed because of a traitor called "Senator Caius Vultur (!)".
After he wokes up, Desmond solved this very hard riddle with Lucys enormous help.

http://j.imagehost.org/0285/41_1.jpg

After that he kills Dr. Geier. "Geier" is the german word for vulture. So Dr. Geier was a traitor too...

So, if you know some people out there, which names are "Vulture" or "Geier" or Vulture in some other language...
YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

This is terrible. Getting after people online for spelling is irritating, but I shouldn't be seeing a publication with spelling errors like these.

Uhmm... there is no "official" publication in english yet. The english version is a fanmade translation, somebody made and put into the internet. The official publication is only available in french.

He knows that.

He's just saying in the second book she looks like shes always missing it. To which the TC replied, some pictures have them complete.

I think the ancestor is canon and the rest is garbage. Didn't someone from UBI say that or was that just some one on these boards?

Nope, this is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ways away from cannon. Even though ti was shown on that promotional thing that Ubisoft made, it's only now being sold for profit.

Michael isn't even the right skin tone once I look at it! S16 looks a bit like Desmond's skin tone as seen from that blurred out pic of him from the encyclopedia.

@itsamea: yup, totally right. Lmao, if you notice it, the developers forgot to put in the burn marks on both Ezio, the other assassin recruits and the other full fledged assassins such as La Volpe and Claudia.

.....The pictures make my eyes bleed..

This probably isn't canon, since the story is very different and crap. I bet the people that made the comic didn't even play half-way through the first two games. That comic looks so awful.

The ancestor, Aquilus, is canon. The modern-day story of it, is not.

EDIT: Oh, and Shaun isn't a coward. He has killed, and he probably will kill again. Assassins use guns in the modern day parts, which is to be expected.

The producer of the encyclopedia said on the UbiWorkshop site that the encyclopedia will document the canon elements of the comics. Since Aquilus is an entry in the table of contents for that, he is likely mostly canon. The events in the truck with Desmond may be partially canon since there are bullet holes on the side of the truck when you see it in Monterrigioni in Brotherhood.
