I went to Arlington, Wa on Saturday to watch the Flying Heritage Collection exercise the P-40C and P-51D, so I thought I€d share a couple of photos.

Ode to a Kittyhawk:

Ah, P-40,
both beast and queen of the skies,
look at the grace with which she flies
Dominance looming in all our eyes
brilliance
beauty
merciless grin
And meanest of all that firey hot chin.
Ah, the dulcet P-40..

SCHWEET!!!!!!

Just a note of trivia..... Upupa Epops is the original plane flown in WW2, not a replica. It is the same plane, restored to factory condition and it was reunited with it's pilot Bud Tordoff of the 353rd. See the April 2005 issue of http://www.flightjournal.com/common/images/covers/220/F0504.jpg Flight Journal (http://www.flightjournal.com/fj/index.asp) magazine.

Great article.

SXL is said to be perhaps the most authentic warbird restoration ever done.

original working radio, etc. (tough to find vacuum tubes in this day and age)
