I'm flying an He-111 campaign and noticed my bombs often fell far from my target. Then I noticed that calibrating the bombsight needs true airspeed.

Is there any rule of thumb when converting from indicated to ture airspeed? I know of the old 2% rule but that requires me to convert from metric to standard, do the calculations and convert back to metric. Even a IAS/TAS chart would be helpful for me to get a feel for the conversions.

TAS = IAS[(ALT/15250)+1]

This works in game for all altitudes below 10km.

Thanks a lot Jimmy. It turns out I couldn't view the chart on the CD (don't have Adobe Acrobat) so that formula helps a lot.
