Anyone ever use something like this? Looks pretty cool if you ask me. Better than paying $600 for the logitech product!

Not a bad idea if you have the space for it.
Needs an ejector seat functionality (LOL) or to be placed on a floor mounted board with a couple of shock absorbers (old ones from a front style washing machine would do) so you can experience tilt when banking, and ones for and aft or climbing and diving as well- not hard to make and cheap
Polypipe and plumber's glue is all you need!!
Possibilities are endless for the handy folk amonst us here.

The ejection seat would be great for when I hear "Honey are you STILL playing IL2?! I kid, I kid.
