In the first dev diary, you see a bit ingame gameplay. Watch his hands after he Hiddenbladed two guards at 1:55

BLOOOOODD!! =)

Gore makes games wiered, I hope they have a 'turn the blood off' option.

I like THIS gore, not the Quentin Tarrentino(spelling?) fountain-necks.

I don't want it to be a gore-fest. I'm okay with a little gore, provided it's in good taste.

I feel the same and wouldn't be surprised if they added the turn blood off mode again.

I didn't like it that much... Sure it's good to have some blood, but I thought that it was to much. Maybe if it was less then it would be okay...

You know what would be awesome? Some dismemberments! Like a counter where Ezio cuts some guys head of! Or maybe not that extreme, maybe just the fingers. Either way it would RAWK!

I don't mind moderate gore, But I'm all no-no with Forbidden Siren type gore.

Yeah, I agree, gore is wicked. Or at least, very cruel. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Juts one question. If everytime Ezio kills someone there is gonna be blood all over his body, how the hell is he supposed to move without being noticed?

Ubisoft classically don't make really gore filled games but a moderate amount of blood for Assassin's Creed 2 really fits in with the game design. It is not over the top amounts of blood but it does give you the satisfying feeling of really connecting with your intended victim. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

Realistic amount would be best.

gore is a realistic thing when u thrust a sword into someones stomach. As long as it's not totaly over-realistic and just the amount that should come out in real life. I'm fine with it

Well, i think blood is needed in this game... after all, its about assassins, who kill enemies with blades... there has to be some blood.

You know I kind of agree with someone who wrote above about dismembering oponents. One good example is Prince of Persia. It had little to no blood and yet it was awesome. I'm not saying you should be able to cut people in half but Ezio is a strong guy, being able to climb tall buildings and swim requires some arms so I wouldn't be surprised if he'd exceed his limit and just blow some guys' foot away. A good example is in the dev diary where he hits a guards' legs with a pole arm/spear. And one more thing, the gun, I'm not against it but if the person who's getting hit by the bullet just dies like in Counter-Strike 1.6 I wouldn't enjoy it that much. I hope they put a lot of effort in the gun, everything it implies, shooting, reloading, the target and everything.
One more thing about the gun, from what I understand the bullets are round so if you miss or anything you should be able to pick up your bullets, I hope they don't just dissapear. The gun is with gun powder so the bullet has no other purpose but to hit the target. I think you should be able to buy gun powder AND bullets.
Just an ideea and everything I wrote above is just my opinion.

I liked the way the gore looked in AC1 so far, it was more realistic.
But I like the way the blood soaks into Ezio's clothes and hands.
Because Altair was always clean as a whistle. lol

I like gore it puts more realism in the game. I think wounds are better than a lot of blood. It's cool when you can see a wound were you've hit someone i missed that in AC1. There were a lot of bodies but you couldn't see a scratch on them. I hope they put effort in that and that it will be in AC2. This is just a minor point though, with or without it the game is gone be AWESOME
