The Last Days update.

As some of you might know I am working very hard on a patch for TLD.

It contains many new features and improvements.

Ability to tune the campaign detail to set the max your system can handle. (to prevent stuttering.)

Highly detailed and ferocious ground battles.

Lots of new skins. Based on new and high quality templates.

New campaigns

Much more variation in aircrafts used in campaigns.

He-162, P63C and A20G flyable in the Luft 46 campaign.

Good load of new SP missions.

A large number of new MP missions.

At least four new campaigns.

Much and much more.
[/list]

Note that the screenshots below only show a small part of it.

from these shots you get the best idea yet of just how long FB's legs are.

You can assemble and bivouaq huge armies...set up the battlefield any way you want, from purely historical to hypothetical....and then stage air combat in the skies above.

Current highend hardware can run it barely...but in a year or so - the systems we build to run BoB at an acceptable level will run FB with maxed number of planes and ground forces waging full scaled war without a hitch and in full perfect switch....nice.

great work, tankeriv.

Ya, Oleg needs to see this.

looks Awsum tank!

Any use of Ta152 or the cannon toting Me262?

Has anybody been able to get 229 to strafe ground targets using FMB? I tried several methods but all it does is circle and kinda go nuts over the target. I figure its just not intended as ground attack strafer.

I want to say that the new patch sure does look great. Before you go too far ahead. Can someone send me a translator for the TLD Coop
missions? Niene spekenze Duetchland. Or somthing to the point that they are in the lovely language of German, which I do not speak.
Updated English profiles will earn you high praises from me, http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif for this add on expansion.

There's an entire high altitude campaign devoted to the Ta-152 fighter included in the TLD package.

Ibis, you can get it here
http://www.matrixgames.com/
and the makeres homepage is here
http://www.x1software.com/

There are other campaigns like Battle Over Europe, Case Blue. If you play mostly offline or want a lot of nice missions they are well worth the price

i thought this was a free campaign appears TLD they are charging for. Oh well

I probally would have downloaded it if it was free mission and looks somewhat interesting but not a snowballs chance in hell would i pay for this.

You definitely are misunderstanding the case what has happened.

TLD was initially planned as a free add-on.
However in my enthusiasm I forgot to check its size.

And eventually it grew up to an impressive 500+ meg.

BTW check the download size at Matrixgames.

http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_MAIN.Entry10?V1=675490&PN=1&SP=10023&xid=45905&CID=0&DSP=&CUR=840&PGRP=0&CACHE_ID=0

So there was no way for hosting it for free as I intended.

Had no money to rent a server with such a bandwidth enough to cope with the DL.
Guess it would take a couple of hundred GB's.

Anyway due the help of some SimHQ board members I got in touch with X1 Software that was willing to publish TLD.

Its your choice but I would like to point at TLD's great detail + the fact it is no lazy money making as some describe it.

Took about ten months. Some days lasted from 9AM as I woke up until 3 AM when I went to bed.
So there's no way you can say there hasn't been done any effort to create a good and high quality add-on.

why couldnt sites like netwings.org airwarfare.com, sim-outhouse.com, virtualpilots, france simulation.com, il2missions.com, or maybe ubi would have hosted it on their ftp virtual war cinema which host movies that are 300-600 megs.

Maybe if you asked them they would have helped, the publish pretends they are doing you a favor but is only interested in the $$$$. Dont get me wrong i think you deserve it for the ammount of time you put in and after seeing your post realize you made this for the community and its not just about the $$$, but now its copywrited and what maybe 300 people will get it if your lucky.

There is also bittorrent. I understand about the bandwidth sharx was paying a crazy monthly fee to keep. I also know the ammount of time it takes to make these missions and campaigns.

Oh well, best of luck to you with tld.

I see my mustang skin on the box btw I have an updated template which i think is alot better then my old polished aluminum one which looks like trash i think.

Im almost positive you asked me along time ago for permission to use the skins and said it was for a free campaign and missions pack. Too late now and no worries about it.
