i just found out that you can bail out and crash your plane into the enemy planes. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif you first fly behind an enemy and match its speed. then you press to bail out.but after you push the button to bail out, you still can go back to the cockpit view before the pilot jumps out.Apply full throttle and use the sight to aim at the enemy plane. By the time your man bails out, the plane is flying the way you aimed and will hopefully crash into the enemy! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif this takes some practice and will not work from long distances.

Or you could just shoot him down...but whatever works...I've tried ramming after I've ran out of ammo, but I'd much rather go home and land. Why waste a plane.

i love all funny things in this game... i've already try to ram enemy A/C's wing by lowering my landing gear and "land" on his wing http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif(or with tail http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif)

i came up with that idea when run out of ammo and poor guy below is flying anot 300 kmh and straight... what a nasty surprise http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I still think its a skill trying to avoid it without bailing.

Anyone tried flying underneath a plane and then use the ejection seat? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Do you try this rear-end ramming technique online?
As far as I understand, due to 'lag effect' and the fact that your machine will register the crash before the victim's machine (his machine might not even register the crash at all; on his machine you might have missed him and he will just see you explode in mid-air for no apparent reason), it is the rammer that nearly always explodes. The victim will usually be undamaged and may even get an 'enemy plane destroyed' message. Only in unusual 'lag situations' would the rear-end rammer manage to destroy the other plane.
From other angles like head-on and side-on, it is harder to guess who will survive, but rear-ending is not a good idea online; although you bailed, your victim will probably not die and may even get points for your fool-hardy actions!

It is possible in the LaGG-3, or the IT. At least in the old IL2. I found out by accident when I hit the wing of an He111 head on and though I was dead and to my suprise the plane had taken no damage. I did it over and over again with relative success actually. Then I remembered once reading a long time ago that the Russians did use this tactic somewhat efficiently. Anyone else notice this?

the taran attack wasnt all too uncommon

it used to be modelled in IL2

but not anymore...you just explode, you may as well go back to the old damage bubble of the CFS series
