Nice find!
I have a comic book about the flying tigers in my collection, but of course it features a P-40E instead of the older version ... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif and they're fighting Zero's... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Just had an idea.. You could make a similar comic using screenshots from IL2/FB. Add some balloons and stuff, re-arrainging in photoshop. Close-ups from the pilots is a little difficult, but could be done using a couple of pilot textures with different expressions http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Ofcourse, the storyline is the hard part...

I wish we had Nells... even if AI only. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

BTW, in FB/PF 4.05 that Ki-43 would have followed the dive till catch the P-40, without breaking, if he being AI. That's why I hate AI as it is now.

Making comics from IL2 is not new, long time ago there was a french guy who did quite good short comics. Though ive lost the link. Also theres a tutorial at Screenshotart for anyone interested. Maybe i'll have a go at it myself http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Very nice pics indeed. Those backgrounds are well thought out and really adds dimension.

Good find

Good find, yet the one thing I'd like to see more of in such a publication would be more text......Granted, artists are not writers and visa versa, yet I think that's where the average "comic" type of rag falls short in holding the interest of adults.......Art + a story vs. comic (which I assume is deliberately left text vague).....

Though all impressive, wish I had the skill.

Not bad at all Vanderstok.
Clean and nice layout and feeling of action.
Dynamic placing of the text (wich is important in a comic).
Obviously not the first time U work with pictures and/or composition.

Well for a first attempt he certainly got the basic principles of how to put a comic together. the frames, composition and even wording are correct.
