Hi everyone,

Hope everyone had a good christmas and new year.

At the start of 2011 we have launched a new community based file site for iL2 and eventualy BoB, we are still currently adding files to the database but theres all the patches and other utilities required there. Since its a community site we need your files if your willing to share them with us, everyone is free to sign up and submit there files with the aim of making this the single biggest iL2/BoB resource on the net eventually given some time. We are currently accepting skins, missions, wallpaper, artwork, website links and will eventualy accomodate videos. There is a forum for people to use with all of the file genres covered and ready for people to start using them. We give you the option to link the file from your own space or as instructed on the upload instructions ask us to upload it to our own webspace.

As the website grows we will be looking for people from the community to join the admin team and help maintain the site with us. The site is still very much under development and a few things will change in time in its appearance and other items, please come and look round we are EXTREMELY greatful for all files submitted to be added to the collection.

Great idea guys. Sorry to be picky but shouldnt it be SOW rather than BOB or are you intending to concentrate just on the BOB period. Have I missed something.

I don't want to be picky either, but those menubuttons are pretty much impossible to read. Be careful for "overdesigning"... fresh but yet simple and usable is underestimated.

Forcing people to register in order to access content is extremely annoying. Nobody needs another log in to remember for another obscure site they barely use.

I miss flying those Jug vs FW190 coops of yours. Those were a hoot. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Are you guys still playing? I think I should get back in Il-2. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

Well as it says something about "allied fighter jocks" guess it is a no go for blue bomber pilots! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I think if someone donates their time to do something for the community the least you can do is spend a few seconds to register and let them see that what they're doing is worth it.

Good luck with it Viper http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

LOL, apparently you have never hosted a server that uses a buttload of bandwidth and host's thousands of files and is FREE! Taking 30 seconds to register at a site like this is a very small sacrifice considering the services rendered. Give me a break man.

Good luck with it Viper, I will be registering shortly.

Thank you!

+1 here. I totally agree with you. Please, reconsider the design of that hard to read buttons. The idea of your web sites, more than great, though. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Yes I was thinking that too.. it should be SoW.. since that is the series.. like IL2 was.. BoB is just the first chapter..

I was just thinking that also... Remember a lot of us are over 40.. some of us are well over 40.

Then please... by all means, don't register.. With an attitude like that you won't be missed.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

The last thing this community needs is another leeching, gimme gimme gimme, non contributing, blood sucking, clueless, vampire schmuck with an attitude.

All in all though a great effort Viper... and very promising. THANKS!! ~!S!~

Hi Viper,

In order to register I had to turn off my antivirus/ firewall software (Vipre). Today I tried to log in and couldn't - getting the same message that I got when I tried to register with my av/ firewall on. This is the message:

Warning: your browser doesn't send the HTTP_REFERER header to the website.
This can be caused due to your browser, using a proxy server or your firewall.
Please change browser or turn off the use of a proxy
or turn off the 'Deny servers to trace web browsing' in your firewall
and you shouldn't have problems when sending a POST on this website.

My browser is Firefox. I don't have this problem with any other site that I am registerd with. Just a heads up in case this is happening with other people.

RedToo.
