Wonder if we'll ever get this type to sail around in, I could certainly redecorate some harbours with this boat

Well..
Not sure if you are aware but there is a mine laying mod done already but IIRC it is in playtesting mode still.
See here (need to be subsim member to see the mod threads)

I totally agree sting, I'd love to get into Liverpool etc and lay a string across the entrance. I wonder if having done that, would you get credited for it? Would make the 100K mark easier to reach on 100%

Yeah, I wondered about the credit thing myself. You could get a radio message from BdU telling you that an enemy ship was sunk due to a mine you laid at a certain port (information obtained via "intercepted" radio traffic, Luftwaffe recon, spy planted @ enemy port, etc.) & you could get credit for it (if the mod could be adapted into the game code). But it would still be fun even if you didn't get credit, IMHO. Just to be able to perform a different type of mission. I still like the idea of rescuing downed Luftwaffe pilots in the channel or planting/extracting secret agents @ enemy ports. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif
