Have you ever wondered why Forgotten Battles did not come with any missions to duplicate the exploits of famous aces? Well, for your dogfighting pleasure here they are. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yo, Buddy http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm glad to see that you've got it done. I've been busy recording grades at the the University, and haven't been able to spend much time posting and playing http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I'll get this file, and let it overwrite the first ones that I had.

Commercial For Bird Brain, and Aces:
Get these, everyone. I haven't had this much fun since the "Fork-Tailed Devil" 10 mission P-38 campaign. I can't for the life of me understand why, with all those "ace" skins that came with the game, that there were no "ace" missions. Especially in an addon called: "Ace Expansion Pack". Bird_Brain Has done a fine job, and I highly recomend that you get and play these missions.

Nice Work, Bird!

Very cool idea!

I was actually thinking of doing a mission pack called "The greatest aces" based on Edward H. Sims book of the same name.

Among the many in depth story's they have in the book a really good one is for Hartmann called "Black devil over Kursk" where he gets 7 IL-2's in one day.

It's a very good book with very detailed info on the missions and what happened.

See you in the fence....

Thanks for the tip...I am always looking for new books to add to the aviation library. I found a paperback copy of "The Greatest Aces" @ Amazon for $1.95 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I will give it a read and see what it has to offer.

Yes, Mr.Sims does a great job of putting you in the cockpit during the battles (he too was a fighter pilot).

A great book for mission builders for sure as I said it details the missions like what height they flew at where the intercepted ect.
