Well, will he?

I really dont see any need for him to talk. Its not like before he kills his victim he has a nice little chat.

So yer. Will Altair talk?

Good question, I've been thinking about it too.
I think he will talk, not to his victims but to other assassins in briefings or something like that.

I think u will to communicate with ppl who u're trying to get info out of. I wonder if u'll be able to choose what you say though...

I guess it would be cool to have a silent character and all that, but wouldn't it be awkward trying to get info out of civilian when he's mute?

He will talk but only when necessary that's my theory though other than that he'll remain silent

Well Philip Shahbaz (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1717255/) is cast for the voice of Altair so it's no guess that he will talk. How frequently, however is a mystery.

I hope he talks. That's one thing I hated about Saints Row, he only talked like twice. -.-

But, as someone else said, if he does talk I hope I have the choice of what he says.

Altair MUST talk, you need to talk to people, get information, side-missions...

Agreed. Alair MUST talk... but does that mean he has a VOICE? You talk quite a bit in Oblivion but you have no voice.

Do you think there is a voice actor set up for Altair?

Oh my... look what I found.

looks like there's a hidden Ignore button around here, cause nobody noticed what I said.

Thats what I was thinking and I hated that with a passion in Oblivion, but I fear thats what its going to be like and with him only talking in the cutscenes and even then he will probably have about the same amount of dialogue as Rambo.

We all heard you, we just didn't say anything. The game is in production so that dude could be fired or replaced or anything else like that.

That's unlikely. The game is most likely completed and all the glitches and kinks are most likely being ironed out right now, I doubt this far into production they would fire the main characters voice actor.

kind of hoping he's clint eastwood/man with no name-ish: speaking only when required and in as few words as possible.

Why so? Why must a hero be the silent deadly type to be cool?

If he doesn't speak then there's an air of confidence and mystery about him. It makes him seem thoughtful and in control of the situation since he doesn't have to talk to keep people interested. Silence has intrigued many and makes a person different since almost everyone else talks a lot.

Personally, i would be intrigued to hear the sound of his voice, no? I mean the voice of a master assassin should be something rather special...

why should it be special? I mean he just an ordinary guy but 5 times faster, stronger, smarter...etc

anti-hero. it has nothing to do with being cool either. him jibba-jabbing doesn't make much sense because of his role.

he takes orders/bounties. no one cares what his opinion is and the more talking he does the more he stands out.
