That game (destroyer command) is totally worthless, IMO at least. I think there's fans of it here, but I found it to be absolute junk. And SH3 is made to be played mostly in single player, although there are often a few games online

You do not "Rent" Servers as in Battle Field 2. You just creat one.

I will second that on Destroyer Command. I tried hard to like it, I really did. The game just suffers from way too many problems. Severe buggyness, dirt stupid AI, torpedoes accurate even at 6000yrds when fired by AI, totally scripted campaign, rediculously difficult missions.

A couple that stick out in my mind were one in the Pacific when I had to escort an oil tanker. The problem however is that often a Japanese aircraft would fly over and level bomb it, destroying the tanker and ending my mission. After multiple tries I finally beat it only to find some critical error and that I couldn't load the next mission (yes I had the most recent patch at the time).

Another in the Atlantic escorting a convoy only to run into a German battle cruiser in pea soup fog. One hit from its shells and you're dead, you can't just run away though because a certain percentage of the convoy must survive. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes this could have happened in real life. Trouble is its a scripted campaign and you're expected to beat it despite rediculous odds or you don't move on to the next mission. If this sort of thing happened in a dynamic SH3 style campaign that would be different.

In short, just don't bother. Its a huge dissapointment and a shame. I would like to see a second DC game made if it was done well.
