Before you start slamming me about downloading games, i didn't. I bought the official director's cut edition but i'm getting the Jerusalem crash which plagued all the torrents that were released 2 months ago.

As soon as i cross into the CITY of Jerusalem i get white pixels flashing up and eventually a bubble appears on the desktop telling me my graphics driver has recovered.

Using an 8800GTX, Vista Ultimate 64.

Did you try playing the game on DX10.exe? Is located in the game folder.

Well, I think it depends on your graphic card fabricator. Since I had the EXACT same problem with an ATI driver and card, on my old pc. It may sound a bit stupid, but the problem occured for no reason at me. Dit it happen multiple times? If not, it's probably just a one-time glitch (just like MY problem).

BTW, if you have the ATI card+driver, I would suggest switching http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
ATI gave my old computer so incredibly much problems, it won't start, the monitor does strange now and then and Linux doesn't even recognise the card immediately.... Don't flame me, I just think nVidia is better http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Good point.

At the very least, 64-bit systems are not supported.

The Official PC Specs (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/7641042236) said:

Supported OS: Windows® XP/Windows Vista® (only) This product does not support Windows 98/ME/2000/NT/XP x64/Vista x64

The game works fine under vista 64bit. The error you are encountering is due to nvidia drivers. Hence the message that they have stopped responding...

Have you tried getting 174.74 beta?

169.25 works 100% for me with a geforce 8800GT under vista ultimate X64. ubi only said the game didnt support 64-bit as they had time to program a directx 10 version but they couldnt be botherd to do 64bit binaries. but the facrt is a 64bit OS can run 100% of 32bit aplications as it is backwards compatable I gues ubi just wanted to take a short cut and not have to answer questions for people who do have the 64bit os's.

I didn't say it wouldn't run, I only said that it wasn't supported. Like with P4 3.2 GHz PC's.. Someone was playing AC on it, and said they hoped the patch would make it run better.

I think they actually DO come back, read the answers until they find a solution and then go away.
A little "Thanks, it worked." would be nice...
Notice they only write back when it doesn't work?

When you're in a repair business, like with PC's, you'll find that to be common. Surprisingly, it's actually more common when doing someone a favor and fixing it for free, than when you charge someone you don't know.

I don't think there's a better exchange rate than that.

(I know there's no beer smiley, but there should be.)
