Well, as many of you know I have been experimenting with Photoshop and sigs. As Dasriech said, my sigs get darker and darker. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

True, but goblins, demons and the like make excellent subjects.

So, I thought I´d start a thread dedicated to the work we produce with Photoshop or like programs. But in keeping with forum rules, lets make sure the subject still has to do with aviation and the sim.

No babe pics. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Here´s one I just threw together.

Would anyone like to give an explanation of how to use the magic wand in PS? It´s something I still haven´t quite figured out.

Pirschjaeger, I can't see an Fw-190 in your sig. Please correct this obvious bug.

I feel that Low_Flyer_MkVb's suggestion is also valid...

The picture is interesting, however it fails to capture the real mood of darkness you generated in this & your previous sig. Your rampant cross demonic werewolf/190 is also a highly aggressive piece of work.

Keep up the good work

Magic wand is a selection tool; ie. it selects a certain part of the picture.
It selects pixels of similar colour, the tolerance can be set (how many shades similar to the one you click on that will be selected.)
You can also set the tool will select either 1) only colours that are next to each other, or 2) any similar colour anywhere in the picture. this is done in the tick box at the top of the Elements/Photoshop'interface'.

Try it out on the sky. You can select the whole sky if you click on one part of it and then adjust the tollerance to account for the colour variations in it. You can add to the selection by pressing shift and then clicking on the area you want added to the selection (with the wand still selected!). You can remove unwanted areas you have selected by alt + wand in a similar way. Use the undo or 'history' function to undo the last step you did without having to redo everything.

Once you have selected a desired area you can then manipulate it as you wish: lighten it, change colour, add more colour by increasing saturation, darken it, remove it, blur it, alter gamma levels etc.
