Does anyone know when the downloadable demo will be released for marketplace or psn?

Don't count on it, sandbox games are hard to make a demo out of one.

i dont think so. the assassins creed series never had a demo for any of its games.

Well ... a multiplayer demo (limited on one map and 2 skins or something like that) which you can also play with the people who own the full version, would be awesome.

No, I mean a demo. Beta and demo are different things.

I think a demo would be good. It's not THAT hard to make a demo for a sandbox game. Mafia II has a demo. Just Cause 2 has a demo. Both of those are sandbox games. They just have to put a time limit on the amount of time a user can explore the open area. I liked how Mafia II shut off the counter during an active mission in the demo. Ubisoft should do something similar with Brotherhood I think it would be a great way to get the game out to people who are unfamiliar with the franchise.

I might not have ever tried playing the game myself if not for the fact that I was a Splinter Cell fan and I wanted to get Uplay points for using on Splinter Cell Conviction before it came out so I picked up a copy of Assassin's Creed 2 to play thru it for the Uplay points and I ended up liking that game even more than Splinter Cell and I went back and played the original Assassin's Creed as well. It is now my favorite game franchise.

So my point here is exposure goes a long way in garnering sales and fans and if a demo is possible it should be done even if there's a time limit on it allowing a player to only spend 15 or 20 minutes exploring the map.

Well? And now?

The first people can play the beta starting today. And all who preordered can play it next monday. It's not that another week is going to kill you.

At present, we have no info on a demo.. however as posted the Beta may give you some idea about the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

But well, the beta is closed and of course there will be no beta anymore when the game is released. So a MP demo with one map and a few skins would be nice.

Right especially since us Xbox owners don't get a beta. So I agree Wanted mode on a single map for a demo would be enough to satisfy us until the game releases. But I think all the skins should be available because it's crucial to the mode to be able to effectively blend in with the other players and NPCs.

But I'd be happy with a single player demo too. Either would be fine although a multiplayer demo would be preferred. It would be a great way to market the game to players unfamiliar with the franchise especially with the new addition of multiplayer to the franchise.

Who knows if they will make a public Beta demo avaliable (personally I dont think it will happen) but who knows, Ubisoft MAY be generous to release a public demo like they had for Uncharted 2 and MAG last year
