This thread is to discuss the good and bad(not like there was any) of the movie, this is not an appreciation thread, even though i wanted one http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. Post your thoughts about the movie but just one rule, don't put anyone down (unless they really really deserve it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif)

awesome movie... i like how well thought out it was and origin stories are always cool... i like how it wasn't really a man in a costume movie... and how the villains were more thought out and not just sportin costumes. not to mention the swing kids dude did great as batman.

I didn't like it. the first half was good, but when he came to gotham city again, it began to be kinda boring. and I still think Jack Nicholson was a better person to kill Batman's parents than that mugger. and he was a better villain too, though Liam Neeson was cool.

I think it was superbhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I am a batman fan but i first feared they would rush it and make it an action-only movie. However they worked out everything real perfect!!! One thing, it could have been nicer if they showed some backgroundinfo on Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow. His appearance did fit the theme of fear in the movie I really liked that. Other villains wouldn't fit in properly because of the feartheme and the fears of batman. I think it was awsome and that's why I saw it twice in Imaxhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Great actors, but I wanted to see more villians and action. If the Clooney batman didn't have all those crappy actors (and Batgirl) it would've been great.

I liked Batman Begins. The actors were great, I loved the story and I'm glad they finally made a movie showing how Bruce became batman...It's the best batman movie made, that's for sure http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Best movie of the summer, period. You can't go wrong with Chris Nolan on the director's seat and Christian Bale on the leading role. Bruce Wayne was finally represented as a controversial character; a bitter young man who smothers his agonies, fears and guilts with hatred- brilliant settings for a psychological masterpiece, and Nolan is the man to portrait mentally unstable characters (feel free to check out his previous works Insomnia and Memento). Joel Schumacher's flash-parodies are history, and the movie looks absolutely awesome with a melancholic brown spraying over the run-down Gotham city, which is being targeted by a fascinating anti-criminal organisation. How cool is the league of Shadows; its sole purpose is to cleanse society of its corrupt vermin, yet Batman, the ex-student of the League, has to stand up against them in order to protect the very city that took away his parents' lives! Finally a Batman-movie which is far from the cliché black&white scenario. The crooks of the film were superb. Ra'as al Gul (I'll never learn how to spell this correctly) was essential to explain the birth of the Batman and the reincarnation of the fallen Bruce Wayne and the surprise secret we learn about him in the end was great. Scarecrow.....pure evil, in a cool sense of course. Cillian Murphy does a fantastic job as Dr. Jonathan Crane, who has the ability of controlling the most primitive of human emotions, fear, and utilise as a tremndous weapon with the helping hand of a potato bag. What else; Michael Cane beats Sir Ian McKellen as Alfred, the Batmobile is simply a nasty mothereffer, and Katie Holmes for once didn't piss me off. The material brought out during this 2⽠hours spectacle was immense, and this was without a doubt the most loyal cinematic intepretation towards the original comic series. Screw Sin Cities and Fantastic Fours, the symbol of the bat rules the skies once again! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Me and my friend had a disagreement with the film. Is it the joker or is it a random mugger who killes Bruces parents? I don't suppose anyone's read the first comic?http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

hey, I wanted to read that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif well, I know I'm kinda alone of thinking like I'm thinking. I guess I'm just tired of all these new superhero movies that have almost the exact formula (dead friend/parent, growing up in mind, training, meet a girl (since it tends to be a male hero), piss everyone off, fight crime, villain dies, kiss the girl, the end).
