You all know her.

I love to energy climb in her.

Climb to 3000-6000 meters and dive down on the noobs that stay at sea level, and race to them at 500 mph, fill them with some .50's, and climb back up and repeat.

She is a real fine plane, and my favorite.

Anyways, my only problem with her is climbing Ta-152H's and J2M5's. They usually climb up to me, and I don't know what to do when that happense.

What should I do?

Thanks.

S!

Climb in a safe zone near your base or on the friendly side of it .The P51 climbs badly compared with many blue planes...

Learn to actually fight? The fact that you're defenseless when someone jumps you on equal terms doesn't differentiate you much from the "noobs" down at sea level. BnZ is fun and all, but you gotta learn how to show your teeth in a real equal fight.

I'm no mustang pilot but I do know that they'0re ridiculously fast compared to most other aircraft so if I was you I'd enter a shallow dive and build up enough speed to be able to loop, retain that energy and turn around towards the pursuing enemy. Also, pony pilots will tell you that trim is very important with mustangs, so you might as well try perfecting that if you already didn't

I try using my inverted loop reverse move but I need more speed at alttitude. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

That move I made up, so, no wonder it didn't work. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

If I remember well, Ta-152 H don't maneuver too well, but climb extremely well and are fast. Raiden Jacks are just all around great fighters. My advice is to dive away, conserve your energy, make them turn to bleed theirs, use angle fighting techniques. The 6 50s will damage a Jack easily.

You need a wingman.

There's a reason 2 aircraft are called an "element"

I.e. "element" as in "elementary unit" as in "indivisible quantity"

Without a wingman you are worthless in combat.

I bet you that funny bird doesn´t have a clue about that. How about you hit ludicrous speed? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
Never underestimate the power of the Schwartz!

But my guess he is a mog: half man, half dog. I'm my own best friend!

The problem with the P51D vs Ta152H is that you are in a mid 1944 US plane vs a very specialised, rare, 1945 German aircraft in the Ta152H.

As for the J2M5, shes a dangerous bird. I think you can outdive it and run back to your base if you get in a tight spot. The J2M5 will fall apart before your plane does, but be careful not to lose a wing in the power dive.

And usually the Ta is a plane for high altitude.. noobs don't go so high (they usually take Doras and stay at mid altitude or lower): so if you find a Ta at 9Km or higher... watch out.

It's a pity that I could used it only once on a dogfight server (usually they are limited and I came to late...). Like the OP says the Ta climb faster than a P51 even at +10Km: I was followed by a good pilot in a P51 and so started to climb... at 13km the guy was under me and I got him.

Trust me there are no moves that other pilots, real or virtual, havent tried before.

I traded my F-15 for an F-35

I've flown the 152 a bit and it is indeed a Mustang killer. It's performance is not as great at low alt (although it can still hit 350mph at sea level) but the same can be said of the Mustang. The 152 is faster in level flight across the board, climbs a bit better, has better maneuverability (in a turning circle that is, the longer wings hurt the roll rate compared to the 190 it is based on), and has MUCH stronger armament (.50 cal guys can rave as much as they like about the systems damage that the guns cause, but they are nothing compared to 30mms that can often take out a fighter in one hit). The P-51 might have better diving qualities though.
