Anyone play il-2 and lock on, was curious if anyone here plays both games and what they may think of lockon and the graphics. Thanks

I did, played a lot of A-10 missions. Harder to learn than il-2, but very nice in it's niche. I love IL-2 much more though..

The graphics are fanastic but you need a decent GFX card to run it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

There is something very inhuman when you know a missile is coming to get you.

Still, I like the Lomac.

Lomac is a nice sim, but it has decent flaws and bugs, still. The new addon replaces the partially heavily scripted flight modell by an excellent one. Pitty though, only sovjet aircraft get upgraded and only the Su25T gets the new flight modell. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

Still a good sim, but I stick to Falcon, when it comes to modern flightsims.

I got Lockon when it first came out and so did all my buddies. We played it steady for a few weeks and then it kind of fell by the wayside and we all went back to FB. Lockon gets too mechanical after a while.

Several of us have Silent Hunter 3 and I think the same will happen with that. FB is so absorbing, it doesn't leave a lot of time for much else.

Runs fine on my Geforce6800Ultra

Just don't expect 30fps on an ATI 9200 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

I can only totally agree with you, I also was one of the first Lo-mac pilots. After years of Falcon I had very high expectations of the game.
But after a couple of weeks I thought the game was to "clean", in no way like Falcon with the total dynamic war, radio chatter and very good mission planners.
Recently I've played Silent Hunter, but well, I'm back with you guys http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

I play all three Lock-on, (with the Flaming Cliffs add-on)is visually stunning and immersive in it's own way.Silent Hunter 3 which has been a blast but can be repetative, though I'm determined to finish the war alive, if not an ace.
Finally IL2/AEP/FB is like my comfort zone.
Of late though I seem to be finding myself enlisted as a grunt with the USMC via BF2
