Hi everyone,
I am new to IL-2 Sturmovik (original version).

I am enjoying it very much. Only trouble I have is right after takeof.
It seems that I can't keep up with the planes ahead of me.
It takes long time to catch up with them.
I am in full throtle , warp power, flaps up, prop pitch set
to auto.
Is this normal? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

Old problem for Il2 (first version). Here's the old answer. Don'r try to climb with them at takeoff. Fly low and level, until you have top speed. Then slowly start to climb. They slow for every turn, so you will have plenty of time to catch them.

Don't listen to anybody who says to use auto pilot. You can catch them without using it.
