Hi all,

I'm a member of the most dreaded and feared MB Squad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif We have survived for 4 years and perhaps I should mention that MB = Mad Brothers.

The Squad is made up of British,German and Dutch guys.

Anyway, as far as applicants to the squad are concerned we don't have rules, ranks, tests etc.Attitude and humour is vital, and the ability to slide a beer or two to me between co-op missions...

The aim is to enjoy flying.

Also, I have been to Germany twice from the UK to meet Squad members in Germany and test the beer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

In summary, join a squad, travel the world and have fun!!

(This is not a recruiting film and all participants are now dead).

Best Regards,
MB_Avro.

Is there supposed to be a video?

I think its great your squad has survived so long. Although my opinion of priorities in life is that joining an online squad shouldnt be on the list, i do agree that it adds alot to the il2 experience. My squad is still very young, and so far theres only 4 or 5 of us, but i hope it lasts. We're still in the relationship building part i guess, but it's pretty cool having your own thing!

Wing Walkers have been an active squad since the original Red Baron I and the old TSN network. We were formed in 1992. Yep, 1992. I myself joined in 1996 and we have flown RB1, Flying Circus, Red Baron 2/3D and now IL2.

WWSandman and WWBrian are a couple of the original 1992 group and are still active.

II/JG1 is nearly as old as we are dating back to the same timeframe though I think we were established a month or so before them.

Friendship, attitude are far more important to us than any particular skill. We're not the best, we're not the worst, we just have fun together.

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif We have a great squad 242, http://www.242sqn.com/index.php

We have met up several times and have members coming over to Legends from Canada,Holland and all over the UK.We have met one of our Aussie colleagues. We are all friendly, easy going,no politics [much] and no prima donnas.
We will be at Legends at Duxford next month.
We fly at the weekends and chat regularly.

Jeez, is it Legends time again? Seems like yesterday I was last there!

AWL have been together in various incarnations for four years plus now, I think. There's only five of us now but we're a steady squad and appreciate each other's company in the air!

Currently we fly the ADW war once or twice a week and are a laid back unit, with members in England and Germany. We have our own TS box and forums, which help, and all enjoy pretty much the same stuff in terms of the sim. Always welcoming to new members with a similar outlook.

We have been here in this sim since 2002... we are an offshoot of the TRTs and AH_RTs of CFS1 which were founded @98 I believe.. I wasnt there then....
I guess one of the things that makes a squad stay together is to develope friendships... and to accomodate your members.... we flew with open pit and icon settings for almost two years.. I have hated those settings since I first hit IL2... but we had a lot of guys who were new to the sim.... now we do locked pit w limited or no icons... and it is fun.. but I couldnt force that on the squad till everyone was ready. The thing to remember is that running a squad (Or trying to hold it together..) is a lot like herding cats.... especially if they are a diverse bunch .... I never put pressure on any of our guys.... it is fun.... life comes first so if you have to disappear for a few weeks... so be it.... but we are all Redtails for life... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Keep it fun... keep it challenging....

TSN was The Sierra Network...it was INN that took it over.

Hi Badsight,

Yep,he ruffled a few feathers. He seems to have gone AWOL but last I heard he still flies as an MB. We lost a few members when we migrated to HL.

I agree with Bearcat's and your opinions ...sort of sums it up http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Your right, I stand corrected. ( I actually dug out old 5 1/4" Floppies to confirm it, how pathetic is that?)
