I would like three changes to the game.

1. 100% gauge functionality.

2. A non toggle radiator setting. Either separate key strokes for different radiator settings, or a two keystroke option: open radiator in increments and close radiator in increments. The ability to put radiator on a slider would also be nice.

3. The ability to edit or customize HUD messages. Some of you device link guys could do a workaround, maybe a small radiator position indicator and an overheat light would be awesome.

lol Yes! The numerous cyclical radiator commmands prevent me from turning off Hud Text while using Engine Overheat option--so I always fly with Overheat Off as that is more realistic than the glowing text pasted on the sky in your face.

That said, there are some aircraft, especially the new I~185, where the radiator flaps themselves are visible from inside the cockpit, and so I can use Overheat and cyclical rad commands without the Hud. Further, the I~185 with full open flaps looks really cool thus tempting me into Overheat On for that plane only, and offers a gunnery a Challenge that can make even Fw~190 bar patrons sigh with relief.

Customize Hud Text:: If I need text pasted to the sky, I would it look like this...

RC .... Radiator Closed
R1 .... Radiator Position 1
:
RO .... Radiator Open

FL .... Fuel Tank Leak
PW .... Player Wounded
PHW .... Player Heavily Wounded
PK .... Player Killed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Worst of all are the bright yellownet Boost neon signs. I would change them to abbreviations (like GM~1 already is) and get rid of the redundent "Enabled" text, because the blinding neon text glare already tells you Boost is Enabled.

Hud Text looks so....Hollywood~esque http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

"The American Browning .50 M2 is an undistinguished performer, particularly when compared with its closest competitor, the 12.7 mm Berezin. The relatively small incendiary content in the .50 API (0.9 g instead of 2 g) gives the Soviet round a flying start, which it adds to by its usefully higher rate of fire, then finishes off in style by being lighter as well, and thereby almost twice as efficient overall."

I don't have enough keys to assign extra radiator functions to. Also, flaps - raised, combat, take off, landing realistic ? I don't think so

Some HUD messages can be customized via the i18n/hud_messages.properties file.
