Can you take my 10 bucks ?

Was looking around at some of the competitions that people have had for Hyperlobby players (USL, Team Combat League, Online Wars, etc...) and decided I would try something that is hopefully fun and does not risk someone's online 'face' as combat does. So I present the WhistlinggDeath Challenge:

Every month, a challenging or fun non-combat activity where guys can go head to head in interesting activities that test your flight skills (without losing face) and the winner gets 10 bucks sent to their Paypal account (I am lining up some sponsors now for larger prizes in the coming months and hopefully some good joysticks and or Track IRs to the monthly winners)(later challenges will include perhaps Night carrier landings, bombing accuracy, Lerche tricks, etc.... ). Up for the month of September is daytime carrier aviation as a challenge. The rules are very simple for this first WD Challenge:

1 There are 15 slots on a first come, first serve basis. To secure a slot in the challenge, post in this thread (or the one at Mission4Today.com) with your HL callsign that you will be using. I will also allow three alternates in case a few guys cant show on game day. Please do not sign up unless you are sure you can come and read the rules below. I dont want to fool with a bunch of cancellations later.
2 The contest takes play at the Coop slot in Hyperlobby on Sunday, September the 6th at 3 PM Pacific Standard Time (California time = GMT -8) and lasts until there is one winner. (maybe a few hours time I would guess). My server is full real (realistic as IL2 calls it) except that you will have speed bar enabled and external views. The only plane for this challenge is the F4U-C Corsair.
3 The best daytime carrier aviator of the challenge wins 10 US dollars (yes, I know, it is chump change but hopefully this will change in a few months). Dont laugh, if this goes well, we will get more money for the winner in the October Challenge.
4 The contest starts with all 15 guys (and myself) trying to land on a Escort Carrier (hehe) with an F4U-C Corsair with 25% fuel (although you can take more if you like). I am not sure if it will be stationary or moving yet. No other planes are allowed for this first monthly challenge. (hitting the escort carrier in the Corsair is one of the tougher landings in IL2) There are five rounds, and each player gets five graded passes (as others watch http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) with the scoring as follows:

Successful trap on very first approach with no touch and go = 3 points

Successful trap after first pass (that means you waved off once or made one touch and go) = 2 points

after second pass or any other subsequent passes (as long as you make a successful landing) =1 point

Landed alive but landing gear is damaged, you are on fire, or you destroyed your prop or wings = 1 point

Crashed off edge or died trying = 0 points

So all 15 guys go one round, the score is tallied and then we repeat until all five rounds are finished. A perfect score would be 15 points (5 trap attempts x 3 points). The guy with the highest point total is the winner and earns the 10 bucks. In the event of a tie (two way, three way, or more), the competition continues sudden death style until there is only one winner (as the tension rachets up).

I will then get the winner's email and exchange info so I know what their Paypal address is. And yes, you can compete if you have no Paypal account, but if you win, there will be no 10 bucks for you (sorry).

Good luck Gentlemen and see you on Sept 6th WD

Sign up below but only if you are sure you want to come laugh as I crash off the side. (In the unlikely event I win, I will still give the 10 bucks to the second place finisher)

Sounds like fun.
Even better would be to upload the tracks to YouTube in movie form, so everyone can watch what happened.

Not over here, not when there's financial stuff involved.
