Is there any way to slow trackIR down?

If you use a pair of glasses with the dot or are crazy enough to stick a dot on your forehead the speed left to right will be alot faster than if you use a hat(trackhat).I have tried both ways and find using one or two of the dots on the brim of a ball cap helps slow the movement down. You may need to mess with the settings abit. Hope this helps.

You can slow it down by using a profile which is flatter (closer to the axis). I use a curved profile which is quite flat in the centre but rises at the edges so the view isn't snapping around when I look forward, but I can still easily look up or over my shoulder.

The settings for both x and y axes are:

Edit point/speed
0/0
10/2
20/10
30/19
40/37
50/65

This is on a TIR1, by the way, but I believe it will work the same on later TIRs.

RocketDog.

I've been using the following settings for a couple of weeks and really like them (note: 'really' is underlined and in bold face). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

0/0
2/0
5/2
10/4
20/5
30/7
40/9
50/10

Smoothing 80

These are for TrackIR2. Give them a try.

Perhaps keep the TIR module slightly further back. The closer it is to the dot/s the faster the response.

Yep. That sorted it. Moved it about 3 feet back, hanging upside down from a shelf. Works great now! Thanks http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
