anyone notice if you bail out over the enemy territory they don't stop till they shoot you out of your parachute???

Indeed, although there`s a way to survive. If there are still friendlies flying overhead the AAA will shoot at them first as a priority and only after the friends go out of range do they focus on the poor bailer.

I`ve actually landed in the middle of a hostle German airfield because the AAA was too busy focusing on other aircraft! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The best online is when some jerk decides to strafe your chute and runs right into the thing...knock his wing right off. Nice little revenge.

In real life, there was no automatic ripcord pull. Smart bailers waited until they were very low before pulling. Then, too, human endurance to falls is many, many times what it is in the game - why, in the game, falling one story is fatal, as is jumping out of an airplane taxiing across the ground at the incredible, deadly speed of twenty miles per hour!
