You must edit a file, and name the skin(s) you wish to use, they will only apply to your squadron (not other squadrons of the same aircraft type). Here's how (never hurts to back things up first):

Find the ######.DB file, where ####### is the name of the campaign you wish to effect (for example, Crimea42.DB or Lvov44.DB, located in the Dgen directory). Open the file with Notepad, and scroll down to the list of aircraft. Find your aircraft, and write the name of the skins after it; they of course must be located in the correct skins directory, The first is the Summer skin, the second the Winter skin. Heres an example:

12 FW_190A5
21 FW_190A8 YourSummerSkin.bmp YourWinterSkin.bmp
12 FW_190A9 FlamingPinkBarbie.bmp WhiteStallion.bmp
54 FW_190F8 SummerSchlact.bmp WinterSchlact.bmp
12 FW_190D9
18 JU_87D5
8 JU_87G1

Save and close. Should take effect when the next mission is generated (won't effect the mission you are currently flying).
