View Full Version : Is SubSim.com down?

I have not been able to view the SH4 forums on there for about 4 days. All I see in a Donation link.

Does anybody know what's going on? Or maybe it's just me...

Hmm, don't know. I just downloaded some SH4 Mods yesterday. I just went there and checked, and no problem here.

I installed a new firewall and it is causing it to be blocked. I can only see the heading of the pages. If I fully disable the firewall, Subsim.com loads fine.

Of course I don't want to fully disable my firewall all the time. So, does anybody know what option in the Firewall I need to config to fix this? any guesses? I didn't see anywhere to enter allowable webpages, so I couldn't add http://www.subsim.com/radioroom.

Wild Bill, what Anti-virus program do you have ? You should be able to add the URL to a list of Exceptions, or Create A Rule or something like that. That's what my Norton Internet Security 2008 offers. Norton has it's own Firewall, and it can be modified.

Thanks Tuddley3,

I just installed CA Security Center the other day. I did look in the Firewall part of it for a way to add the subsim url, but couldn't find it.

I found it!

There was a 'Manage Websites' button on the Internet Privacy window.
