I have quite a strong system.. P4 2800 Mhz, GeForce 5200 FX, 512 MB RAM etc etc. So why do I have a lagging mouse cursor all through the game?

What do you mean by lagging mouse cursor?

When is the last time you updated your graphics drivers?

I updated them yesterday to the latest Omega drivers, after the latest Nvidia drivers didn't help. Lagging means that I move the mouse and a half of a second later the cursor moves to the position.

Interesting. Not a clue. Are you sure you don't have something else running in the background that is taking up a lot of CPU time?

I've seen spyware do this...

Oh, it's not a spyware, not with all the spyware detectors I've been running lately. But not in the background. My CPU is clean...

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and open the Task Manger. Look at the bottom left-hand corner of the Task Manager. You will see the number of Processes running on your system. How many do you see there?

Do you have a cordless mouse? I had the same problem with my cordless and I put a corded mouse on. It helped substantially. (yes, the cursor speeds were the same).

Even with the corded, I find it is not as responsive as it is with my other programs, but it's not the end of the world.
