Great stuff.

Did anyone watch the CNN coverage?.They went live about 6 minutes before landing yet spent most of that time going from the talking heads to the control room to the animations......why couldnt they just stay in the control room for gods sake.

www.spaceflightnow.com (http://www.spaceflightnow.com) is a good site to follow the progress of the two landers.

...And the camera has red filter over the lens. That's where Richard Hoagland's claim of pics of ancient Martian artifacts are coming from, and JPL had to sabotage the Lander, cos of all the US Army junk left in the Mojave desert. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I just watched the first hazcam pictures coming in...How amazing is that!

I didnt think opportunity would make it to be honest... two in a row is about as lucky as me getting my US$23 million out of my nigerian 419 scammer friend lol.

Edit... thinking about that maybe LUCK is on my side, even though I've received over 60 emails telling me I've got a fortune awaiting in some 3rd world cesspit, THIS COULD BE THE REAL THING!!

Hi,

Is that where they filmed the moon landings, too?

;-)

Cheers,

No, North African desert, where US Army left History's first messy battlefield, and the Rover started filming it all last week. NASA got pics of square rocks that look curiously like ration crates, round rocks that look suspiciously like helmets, sharp rocks that coincidentally look like artillery shells. Then the Rover just happened to run into abandoned barbed wire or landmine.

No way -- Rover was stripped of its parts by alien juvenile delinquents. It's up on the Martian equivalent of cement blocks in one of their front yards, and they're now using its parts to get illegal satellite TV.

Cheers
