anyone know where I might find the V speeds for WW2 Aircraft? Vx, Vy, best glide, etc. Any website that might have most of them listed?

I wouldn't know about a site like that, but it seems that the gliding characteristics in FB is incorrectly modelled for almost all planes, perhaps exept P-40, so my guess is that you wouldn't have much benefit from that information when playing FB. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

Yeah, many Pilot's HAndbooks suggest rather large ranges for the V speeds, and I don't think I have seen Vx mentioned in any of those that I have viewed. Best rate values can be found on the web though. Also, as stated above these speeds change from patch to patch, and not always according to historical data.

For instance: http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/main.html

scroll down to the lower right under "More Neat Stuff" Also, the videos usually mention normal climb speeds and sometimes best glide.

POH's can also be found on eBay, most are copies and not too much money.

The facts remain though, that Vy in the books is not my tested Vy in any of the aircraft in the sim. . . it may be reasonably close, say within 50 KIAS, but not close enough to use for max performance.

We could use a complete list of V speeds for all flyable aircraft in FB. They have to have these speeds to program the flight models correctly right? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
