OK bear with me on this.

Would it be possible (well would anyone want it/use it?) to have some sort of playback for tracks that shows the relative movement of aircraft during the mission. Like back in the old days with Falcon but more detailed.

Lets say you just flew a 4vs4 mission and you want a 3D view of the sim world and play the track back with aircraft trails and alt/airspeed information displayed etc. You could follow the fight and see how it developed where mistakes were made, who did what etc. Like they do at TopGun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'm thinking for BoB more as a whole series not just for the BoB theatre. It might be possible by manipulating the track files we record in game but I'm no programmer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

The closest thing I can think of is this:

DeviceLink wont work online though.

And even if it was, DeviceLink is only good for the plane your flying. Too bad really, because I loved that Falcon 3.0 ACM plots stuff.. It did give you a good feeling to see where things went wrong.. Would be very cool to have this for the ghost skys matches. I wish Oleg would include xyz and the ability to swithc to other planes within the track file. DeviceLink allready limits some of the variable while online.. so you could disable those so no cheat stuff could be developed and just post mission trak files could be examaned.

Its partly possible to draw own plane position data from pitch roll and yaw cause of error margin it gets incorrect over time not a good solution.

Following options i suggested already.

Store chosen Variables available from the game in Track file. Other planes , g forces(which is not in) x,y,z , ias , tas , elevator , stabilizer etc positions, stickforce , lift wingsections , drag , prop pitch , fuel consumption etc all datas chosen in the track file viewable with a later 3d plotter with coding interface to allow screenshots , integration for E Manouever Charts or other things.

Cheers guys, I figured the current system we have would struggle but if it was improved for BoB (even a 3rd party app) then the tracks recorded might suffice.

I don't have a clue how to program such a piece of software so was just fishing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I guess if someone is interested they will build it.

Good to see some of you would be intersted though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
