Hi,

Im just about to buy this game, but had a few questions about the multiplayer part of it.

Are lots of people playing the multiplayer?
Is it quick to find players for a game?
Are people playing the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC multiplayer modes more than the original?
Is the multiplayer something you can keep playing for months/years? or is it only for a short while till everyone moves on to another game?

And finally, is the multiplayer worth the money?

Thanks!

Matchmaking sucks,Probably more people play Da Vinci Disappearance than the original and from me ACB:MP only took me 6 months then quit and moved on, I just play time to time now.

Thanks! *Yes people play it a lot
*I don't know about the Da Vinci Disappearance thing
*I will be playing it for as long as it runs
The multiplayer takes some skill unlike most games. I love it, but if you're buying the game just for the multiplayer just don't buy it.

Hello. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I cannot answer for the whole community, but I will gladly say my own opinions.

Are lots of people playing the multiplayer?
It depends on how you define "lots of people". But from my point of view (I play on PS3) there are many players, even after the PSN outage. You rarely see the same username two days in a row.

Is it quick to find players for a game?
On weekends, yes. But it can be tough during weekdays. Some modes (like Alliance) are practically dead by that time. But it's relatively easy to find Wanted and Manhunt matches. And it can sometimes be easier to find player matches. So if you don't need to fill up your templar scores (by playing ranked matches), player matches is the choice for you.

Are people playing the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC multiplayer modes more than the original?
I bought that DLC a coulpe of days ago and I think people have changed from Wanted to Assassinate. But if you really want to play Wanted, you can switch DLC's. Escort is kinda dead but you can find a game sometimes.

Is the multiplayer something you can keep playing for months/years? or is it only for a short while till everyone moves on to another game?
Yes! I've been playing ACB since the release day and I've been hooked ever since. It's really innovative and lets you experiment with a lot of different tactics and abilities so it never gets boring. It's still about 5 months until AC Revelations is released and I think many people will keep playing ACB even after that day (but I think that the amount of active players will drop drastically).

And finally, is the multiplayer worth the money?
I don't really know. There is always a lot of lag, but it varies between different sessions. Matchmaking is kinda dumb, especially when you have a party and try to join another game. But it is playable, and fun. If you're looking for a good time and don't mind about lag, then yes it's woth the money. And don't forget the singleplayer!

if you wanna buy it for pc, dont do it if its just for the multi-player (single player is still great). not enough people play the mp nymore on pc, especially since the leaderboards are broken.

When I bought the game, the jerky camera movement in the single player turned me off that mode for a good 4 weeks and I played multiplayer exclusively during that period. I wasn't planning on going back to the single player (though eventually I did), and during that time, I felt the multiplayer alone was worth buying the game.

Multiplayer is great and has kept the game on the top of my list for months.

But please don't overlook the the awesome (and quite long) single player campaign as well.

It's easily the best multiplayer game I've played not counting mmo's. modes like wanted and manhunt have enough people playing to be available nearly 24/7 and the lag is no worse than other online games to be perfectly honest though the nature of the game may make you rage a bit more.

For sheer staying power in making you want to play it over and over, there really is nothing better on the consoles in my opinion.

Well, ABCMP will be dead Nov 15. Let's remember that.
(I will be mourning the great loss though)

Even thought the multiplayer is great I would advise against buying the game just for this purpose. It has its faults, however the single player mode should be enough for you to purchase it. I was not even concerned about the MP, infact I didn'e even know ACB had one until I bought it. Then I started playing it after I completed the single player and can't stop now! It is a fresh change and unique when compared to other multiplayers and challenging everytime you play it.

What platform are you on? I can only speak for the PS3 side, matchmaking is terrible (through out the platforms) but I do get a game regularly on PS3, some modes are dead however. The main ones such as wanted etc are not though.

Be warned though, as mentioned(sadly) it probably will die come Nov 15th when revelations is out....but thats plenty of time and will help you get practice in for ACR!

About the number of players..
I play assassinate most of the time and i meet the same people over and over again. So i dont think there are many people playing the DLC.

If you don't really care about single player just wait a few months for AC Revelations. ACB multiplayer is fun and has great potential, but it's suffering from bugs, glitches and lag that are game-breaking.

Honestly? If you're not on PC, rent a copy, and play the multiplayer (get to at least level 10 before making a decision either way).

If you love it and can't get enough, By Brotherhood.

If you're not totally sold on it, but think it's got potential, wait for Revelations.

A lot of people have the Da Vinci Disappearance, and whether they're in those modes or not, having the DLC active makes them less likely to be matched with players without it. Many people will play with the DLC turned off though, so depending on the time and day, try switching between DLC options and see what modes are active. As far as I can tell, there's no consistency beyond "weekends are better for Alliance" and "Nobody EVER plays Advanced modes"

For uniqueness alone I think ACB Multiplayer is worth it by itself. Factor in a pretty solid single player and I'd say it's a no brainer, especially since it should be relatively cheap. Only problem is that like others have mentioned, Revelations will be out in a matter of months, so you may want to hold off. Then again that's what, 5 months away? That's plenty of time for you to get your money's worth out of ACB. I feel like I've been playing this game for an eternity and it's only been 4 months since I played my first match.

Can't speak for the PS3 crowd, but getting a game of Wanted, Manhunt, or Assassinate is pretty easy most of the time, only exception really being very late at night or early in the morning, and even then it's not too bad if you have a little patience.

Overall I'd say go for it. Even with the undeniable flaws and lag issues that persist it's a fantastic game.

Oh, and as for the DLC I personally play with it off a fair bit and so do many others. I have no trouble finding games with the DLC enabled or otherwise, so don't assume that you necessarily have to purchase the DLC to get full value.

Up until ACB, the only multiplayer I had played was Halo 3, ODST and Reach. I love this game. If you are not a super fast player like me, you can still excel at this game by playing slow and stealthy.
