Hi All,

As I was searching The Net I found these add-ons for Il-2. Is the list complete? Could anyone give more details about where and when I could purchase those titles in the UK???

---------I have these!---------
1) Il-2 Sturmovik
2) Il-2 Forgotten Battles
3) Il-2 Ace Expansion Pack
4) Il-2 Paciffic Fighters
---------I want these!---------
5) Il-2 Battle Over Europe
6) Il-2 Forgotten Battles: Aces
7) Il-2 Operation Barbarossa
8) Il-2 Operation Fall Blau
9) Il-2 Sturmoviks Over Manchuria
10) Il-2 Pe-2 Peshka
11) Il-2 46

Did I miss any other???
Also, can those add-ons be installed over a merged install of FB+AEP+PF???

Thanks in advance!

Hello mangaroca,
Your number 3 and 6 are the same add-on.
Best way to start is buying latest Il-2 1946 DVD-Rom. You then have numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 & 11 of your list on the same disc.
Previous campaigns and missions compilations can be bought separately; see i.e. http://www.justflight.com or http://www.rcsimulations.com/price1.htm
but you can also download lots of nice free mission & campaign files from different sites, enough to keep you busy for some .. years. See
http://www.pacific-fighters.com/en/missions.php or
http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&c=1 and many others.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

No, there was a static campaign add-on titled Aces Campaigns (or similar) that was issued by the same developers who created Combat Over Europe. Check CombatPlanes.ca for the developer's website. It came out right after the Ace Expansion Pack was released and the missions in it were advertised as making use of the new planes in AEP. FWIW, I remember that the product took a quick dive to the clearance rack and soon disappeared completely.

As I mentioned, its predecessor was a CD-ROM titled Combat Over Europe. The product became somewhat of a pariah within this community because it was released almost simultaneously with Ilya and Starshoy's Battle Over Europe, thus causing confusion in the market. This would have been forgivable if the developers hadn't used the Normandy and Ardennes maps developed by the BOE team for their own product. I don't think COE is available anymore either.

You've mentioned all the official expansions and add-ons; Testus' advice to get the 1946 DVD is good and will save you some money if you're serious about Pe-2/Sturms Over Manchuria/46. Actually, it is currently the only way to get the last two titles.

As for unofficial add-ons, I can think of a few others:
1. OstFront by Ian Boys. This adds dynamic campaigns for Ian's Kurland and Murmansk maps. There has been a couple of updates for the product, including a very recent one that adds Pe-2/Pe-3 campaigns if you have at least v4.05 of the game. Ask around if it can install directly to 1946; I ended up manually copying files over from my FB 4.04m install.

2. The Last Days. This is an early attempt to create dynamic campaigns where the war continues after Spring, 1945, I believe. My understanding is that the 'futuristic' planes in AEP like the Gotha come into operation as the Allies converge on Germany. Research before getting this: I remember reading that TLD's files conflict with OstFront's. (Well, technically it is the other way around, being that OstFront was released after The Last Days.)

3. The Wings Over ... series. There are several: Wings Over Waves and Wings Over Jungles come to my mind, although I could be slightly wrong on the exact name.

4. Banzai. I don't know anything else about this.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

How to play both '46 and BoE games at once???

BoE isnt a game, or a standalone product. It just adds in campaigns a few online and single missions. Oh and some great skins.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
