Difficult question. FAFAIK the only US reseller I know is Matrixgames.

However I do know that Matrix does support a wide range of payment methods.

Anyone else that has seen TLD at another retailer?

3.JG51_BigBear

I bought it through Matrixgames and had no problems. I haven't seen any other US retailer carrying it. They take credit cards, I didn't see anything for PayPal but its worth a look.

tankeriv

BTW I heard that there soon might come another retailer that will also sell TLD in the US.

Don't know anything more about them.

Tankeriv,

Thank you for the update. I bought The Last Days a couple of weeks ago, but have not found any updates till now. The download section at Matrix Games states "no updates".

May I ask, what is the "usual address"?

Alex,

Are you going to wait for the 3.05M planes & objects to release your 1.04 (non-beta) patch or you are going to release it and then come up with your 1.05 patch to support FB/AEP/PF 3.05 additional content ? ie. AI tempest & any other....

Upcoming Do 335 will fit perfect for TLD IMO http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Too bad we are not getting a Re. 2005 Sagittario - I know there was only about 48 made but we could have some those flyable Re 2005 from histocally "unconfirmed" reports defending Berlin in the last months of the war.

It supports the tempest already.

At least 1.05 does :P

Anyway I won't wait for the Do-335 to receive.

But if it arrives I will implement it maybe through a mini patch or so. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

this add-on is like blowing smoke in someone,s rear end.Why whoud someone pay money for some
new skins or few more trees.New misions..lol thats funny. No new planes, means worthless add-on.There are free programs out there to generate generate campaigns and missions.
It,s a patch for Il2 owners.If they are still
alive. But hey,it,s your wallet. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Guess you don't have the slightest clue where you are talking about.

TLD initially started as a free add-on.
However it grew out of proportions and eventually after exceeding 500 megs I couldn't find a host for it by then.
Though Leadspitter pointed me at the fact that it could be hosted but I was unaware of that.

I suggested to send it to cafepress.com for just a minor fee but some SimHQ board members got me in touch with X1 Software that was interested in it.

Overall you are forgetting to notice that the detail found in these campaigns is pretty unique and also it has been more than a year of hard work.

As well the price of the product is $20 what isn't a fortune especially when you consider that you get a large bunch of good missions and skins in return.

Best way is if you would have printed your receipt. Your personal unlocking code is printed on the receipt. If you "leave mail on server", you would be able to retreive a copy of the receipt then too. Otherwise, try to call Matrix with a copy of your credit card charge for that particular product and then they should be able to confirm your purchase and send you another receipt.

BTW, Thanks Alex for your continued efforts - I guess you will have some new ground objects to play with very shortly :-)

Every mission I create or campaign is unique.
Same thing goes for my skins.
If i have to pay for add-ons it must be for something i CANT create myself.Like new maps,
planes ,objects. People work hard and create programs like:
Il2Mat,UberQuickFB,etc.and share them for FREE. Also you can find tones of custom missions, skins, movies, u name it...all unique and all free. But i dont hold it against you if you whant to make a buck or two and if your are authorized by ,,gods" to do so,go ahead. It looks you wont have problems finding customers around here. Now if u posted this payware commercial in here, it think it kinda violates the forum rules.,, no advertising"for profit?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

and if you worked so hard to deserve money, think a bit at at Oleg and the team, coming up with free patches all the time.
Now that,s hard work and they dont have to do it.
For someone to charge money just because he waisted time with the mission builder..Outrageous!!!

The 109G2 skin has been based on a template from P1ngu666 sow that's a real good skinner. Also I have a couple of other skins that have been based on Cptn Farrel's templates.

Further :

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>and if you worked so hard to deserve money, think a bit at at Oleg and the team, coming up with free patches all the time. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

This IS a free patch so what are you talking about??

In the original add-on you get about 36 campaigns.

In the patch another 8 has been included.
And also more than 100 skins.

New ones and some more (on top of that 100) some more that will replace some original skins that
aren't to my likings.

Also you will get the newly created Crimea campaign and another yet not announced campaign but that remains .... for the next four days http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

So isn't that continues support in the way of free patches?

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> For someone to charge money just because he waisted time with the mission builder..Outrageous!!! <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ok now you spend just 1000 hours alone for the Crimea campaign behind the FMB?
Can you create DGen campaigns??

Also I explained that TLD was no intention of a money making product it has just grown this way.

Though I wonder how you look at other add-ons such as BOE and Rebirth of Honor and Fall Blau?

not to reply for someone else, but to try and help you see what he is saying

the add on TLD is a add on (cost 19.99) he is posting here about the patch he is working on for that add on and the patch is free

which I would guess, if you don't have TLD or want it, then the news about the patch is worthless to you

for those who do have the add on, the news of the patch and what also is being added, is more then welcome

I hope that helps explain things

I,me,myself,mois,je...i wouldnt pay a dime for such patches. If someone makes a new plane, object map, that is not already in the game
,and i like it i,ll buy it.

The rest are just profiteers trying to make a buck based on someone else real work.[Maddox]

Dont care if u worked 10.000 hours on this..it wasnt your job.You started for free, and it up for free. You used skins based on different artists,do they get something for that? No? I would take you to court in a hart beat.

..if it turns up to be a payware{20$} what you keep on saying FREE?

Anyway i,ll end up this debate here. That is my opinion. If you guys have a different one i respect that, with out feeling the urge to be rude http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

What do they get for it?

Cptn Farrel and Jutosca have been send a free exemplar of TLD.

Don't know if it arrived yet.

P1ngu666 already owns TLD I believe.
Also I have made a large quantity of templates for TLD.

Regarding your statement of adding nothing to IL2 like new objects.
Of-course not. You can't. The code is as closed as a safe so you just can't.

I did all that's possible.

im a)not a good skinner, and its 95% i16fans template for g2, the p39 one i gave u, that is far more mine http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

b) i down own TLD, if there was coops in it i might go out and buy it (i have very small income, no job)

c) tankeriv is a nice guy, so i helped him out with skins and templates http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, from what ive seen of TLD everything is top notch, and maps have lots of detail everywhere, so u fly over a live battle field, whereas in il2 theres miles of nothing...

imo, 20$ is a decent price for what u get, maybe u could make your own skins campaign etc, but itll take u AGES.

d) the update is of general interest http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

nobody is forced to by TLD. I bought BoE and TLD and I'm happy with both. My only concern is, will my sytem be good enought for the patch (and the new 4.0 patch). I have an old AMD 1800+ and a Radeon 8500pro and no chance for a new system during this year.

well i went ahead and purchased the add-on and i have some feedback.

ITS AWESOME AND WORTH THE MONEY

and believe me, i didnt really think i was getting my moneys worth either. Ive downloaded every decent campaign EVER and assumed that this would just be a collection of those. maybe a little better thought out.

but i was wrong.

I didnt realize how much more production value went into a payware add-on. every map has ground assets placed really well though-out and densely. Mission formations and aircraft were laid out with dense formations of bombers and good briefings (which u usually dont get with DCG games).
I kind of saw that , in essence, Oleg and team created an engine and really had little time for flushing out the maps or campaigns. I have played this game since original IL2 and this and BattleOverEurope (from JustFlight) are simply THE BEST offline missions i have ever flown.

payware add-ons is the way forward.

I have to say that without the patch the campaigns really didnt work. theres no proper documentation about needing IL2DCG, but when its plugged in with the patch(which includes a dgen.exe, unlike the CD install) and tuned right, the campaigns come to life.

The camps are a bit short. feels as if the last 2weeks of the war instead of the last 2 months. but replayability is actually really desireable because of the rich map layouts.

Im buying as many add-ons as i can find if they can work with the new 4.0 FM

Tanker, I picked up TLD last week but I haven't started any of the campaigns. My two current campaigns seem to be working fine (USN & BOE P47). Should I wait for the patch to be finalized?

With IL2DCG you mean the standart (Starshoy's) DGen not Lowengrins DCG?

hmm. wow. i never realized there was an alternative to Lowengrins DCG (besides the official release)

is the one that comes in the TLD patch a Starshoy DCG? whats a link for his site? it works alot more stable.

(or is startshoy actually the Maddox programmer that makes the official release? im confused)
