In 1 of the missions Altair needs to assassinate a royal guard, his head is half shaved and he speaks with the king at the beginning..
When I climbed to the top, killed the bowmen and started moving slowly downwards in front of the guards, behind him, they noticed me right away when I was on top..
Couldn't find a way to get close to him in a stealthy manner..

In another mission, I need to assassinate an executioner while his on stage..
I tried moving from the roof ledges from the right and from the left, as soon as I reach the stage everyone notices me.. even when he's not facing me.. also tried moving with the priests, still as soon as I leave them everyone sees me.

I just can't seem to do anything in a stealthy manner http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

unless your in blend the guards dive on you more so if you jump from a building or have a weapon out. best way is to slowly climb on if its a stage and go straight to blend then get behind your target but even so once you do the kill every1 will chase you all you can do is take the kill then head for the roof tops.

I killed Montferrat with stealth easily. Just went around on the walls. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

As for the executioner dude, you just have to run out of the scholar group and stab his face before he has a chance to react. Worked perfectly for me.

I can't reach the stage without the scholars, there are guards there.
After I do the kill I don't mind them chasing me.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I did go around on the walls but they notice me after I get from the highest wall to the small roof thingie.. !?
And as for the scholars, as soon as I leave them I get a red sync and everyone sees me.. do I need to wait for him to kill all of them but the guy from your brotherhood?

Stealth kill the guard closest to you when you leave the scholars.

Don't go with the scholars all the way across to the other side. I usually exit the scholar blend when Addin turns his back to talk about the harlot. Almost right after you break blend, you have to quickly blend again on your own until you make it to the stage. Climb up and strike. It took me a few tries the first time to get the timing down. Hope that makes sense.

Personally, I found it more fun to take on the 20 guys at once, and hold Majd Addin for last, and then jump-stealth him. I normally like to be as stealthy and international-spy-like as possible, but that jump-stealth is great for when a guard has already taken notice of you, and you must dispatch them post haste.

There's been so few times when I've been able to do a full silent-stealth.. But in replaying, I've found ways to do it easier. Plus, this time around, I make sure to take out all the guards surrounding the whole place before even attempting the big assassination, so as to assist my escape.

Though, that does kinda negate the whole taking-on-the-whole-army thing, eh? Ah, well. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

*sorry for being off topic*

Haha drego your sig is hilarious!

*off topic mode off*

Yeah, I also found it hard to be stealthy, the only way it was possible for me was to keep blending and then you travel at snail pace so I just tried to approach from the sides and assassinate the target from there and then getting closer.

If someone spots me and the city goes on alert I either: fight them, or if the target is right next to me I hidden bladeniseisisism them.

You remember the State? Or you mean the blackboard code?

I found that even when I do blend and "snail" it, I'm still found out too easily. By both Assassination targets and Templars.

I actually was able to read that "blade" word the way you intended.. scary.

I'm replaying the game again, purposely avoiding all Flags and Templars, with the purpose of passing it to anyone else who wants to start a game from wherever they feel like, and free-roam. I plan on stopping before the actual end of the game, probably between Jerusalem and Arsuf. I named the game "Altair" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

the only assassination i was able to pull off without getting caught before or after was the one with the merchant king (i think thats the one where he stabbs the **** out of the guy) and it was completely by accident...

You're thinking of Tamir, the arms dealer.

Abul Nuqoud is the Merchant King. He's the fat guy who poisons his guests' wine.

Funny, the first time I tried to stealth Tamir, I got caught lickedy-split. Second time, I was able to stealth with no problem. Third time, I had to jump-stealth him. He's the biggest variable in my game so far.

No love for the Barry and the Levon. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

No wonder they still haven't released a DVD after 14 years. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
